This is an individually sold carbon brush. Keep in mind that most power tools will have two of these, and it is recommended to replace them at the same time. The motor requires these brushes to conduct electricity to the armature. Due to constant friction, these brushes will wear and require regular replacing. For this fast and simple repair, use your screwdriver to remove the brush cap and this will give you access to the brush.

This is an OEM brake skirt for a random orbit sander, sold individually. The brake is located just above the pad. It rubs against the pad and prevents it from rotating when the sander is not touching the workpiece. Over the use of the tool, the brake skirt will wear out eventually. It will become evident that it is worn if the pad is rotating at a high RPM when the sander is not on the workpiece. This can cause a gouge when the sander first contacts the workpiece.

Designed for use with select Ridgid and Ryobi tools, this OEM approved replacement Brush fits a variety of models. To see if this part will fit your tool, please see the "Model Cross Reference List" below. This brush is made out of a durable Carbon alloy, has a lead wire attached to it, and its primary purpose is to conduct electrical current from the stationary wires to the moving parts of your tool. Brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away until they need replacing. Worn brushes are a common cause of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking, and reduced motor power. A worn-out brush will often be worn down near to the wire lead and can be cracked, pitted, or burned. Brushes are sold individually, and might also be known as Carbon Brushes or Motor Brushes. It is recommended to replace both brushes, even if only one is worn.

Sourced directly from Ridgid, this OEM approved replacement Toggle Switch is designed for certain models of Ridgid Utility Vacuums. To see if your device is compatible, please see the "Model Cross Reference List" below. The primary purpose of the Toggle Switch is to turn the device on/off, as well as playing a role in electric breaking by momentarily reversing electrical polarity. Due to the mechanical internals of switches, they tend to degrade and wear out over time, making them a commonly replaced part in vacuums. Common symptoms of a broken switch include: the device has completely stopped functioning, it will not turn on, and turning off intermittently during use. Each Toggle Switch is sold individually.

This is a single OEM brush assembly with the leads, wire, and spring included. The brush holder is sold separately. Carbon brushes are known to wear from normal use of the tool, so it is important to consistently inspect and replace them as instructed by the manufacturer. It is also advisable to replace both brushes at the same time even if only one appears worn. For this quick and easy repair you will need a screwdriver. Disconnect the tool, remove the brush caps, remove worn brushes. Insert the new OEM brush assembly and secure the brush cap.

This is an authentic 5-inch sanding pad assembly for a sander. It provides support for hook and loop sandpaper. This part is prone to deteriorate, especially if too much pressure is applied to the sander while in use. This creates too much heat, which wears the sanding pad much quicker. For this simple repair, unfasten the four screws attaching the pad to the sander, and fasten the new pad in its place. This OEM pad assembly is sold individually.
