Heating Element - 5300W

Includes the insulators and restring already attached. This dryer heating element produces heat to dry clothes in a dryer and is located in the rear end. If the heater element is burned, dryer does not heat or over heats, or clothes take too long to dry, then replacing this part could solve your problem. The tools needed for this repair project are: Phillips screwdriver, putty knife, needle nose pliers. To repair, first remove the main top of dryer and remove ground strap at the rear. Next, disconnect two wire harnesses that hold front panel to the cabinet to pull out front panel. Once you have access to the inside of the dryer, refer to the manual for further installation instruction. As a safety precaution, remember to unplug appliance from power source before beginning this repair project.

Unplug unit. Pull top off, pulled front top panel, pulled the front panel with door. Remove rear exhaust tube. Removed wires to heating element, remove heating element housing. This genuine OEM part is a radiant flame sensor for your gas dryer. It is used to determine when the temperature of the igniter is hot enough to ignite the gas. Once the igniter is hot enough, it allows the valve to open to release the gas. This acts as a safety mechanism which prevents dangerous levels of gas from building up. If your dryer will not start, is not producing enough heat, not heating up at all, is taking too long to dry laundry, or is shutting off too soon, you may need to replace the radiant flame sensor. Please be sure to disconnect the power and gas supply to your dryer before beginning this repair.

Oor dryer would not get hot.

I opened the bottom section and watched as the igniter got red hot as it should but the gas valve did not open. I wired around the sensor and the gas valve opened and the fuel ignited. VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT RUN YOUR DRYER IN THIS STATE: IT WILL BLOW UP!! I did a VERY short test, then ordered the new sensor. Just one screw holds the sensor (as shown in the Parts video). no heat, burned out heater element,

UNPLUG first! remove vent hose, remove inside vent tube, (three screws), remove the top panel, (two screws, on back top), remove front panel with door,(4 screws on top, & 3 screws inside door)..to remove heater, remove one screw in the front, and unplug the wiring, then snake it out the back.. install new and put back together following steps back to start!! LEFT SIDE DOOR FLAP WOULD NOT TURN IN WHEN CLOSING

Step 1: Opened up beer and drank a couple times.
Step 2: Put in spring at top end and tried to insert into bottom end. That did not work so I finished my beer and opened up another one! Put spring in at bottom, then inserted into top and it went it perfectly. Closed door and it closed properly. Drank some beer and opened and close door praising myself for fixing it myself.
