This power cord is used for power tools and some of the following tools: electric drills, reciprocating saws, jig saws, biscuit joiners, and routers. The power cord is made for double insulated tools and is a two-wire cord with two prongs, but it does not need a ground wire. If there are cuts in the cord insulation, intermittent power during operation, or damaged and bent prongs, then replacing the power cord will solve the problem. The tools needed for this repair are a Phillips screwdriver, small screwdriver, wire cutters/strippers, crimping tool, and terminal (ring or spade). Repair tip: During installation, remember that new cord wires must go correctly into wire terminals. Also, to avoid pinching when the tool case is put back into place, remember to route cord and wires in the right path.

This set comes with two carbon brushes with wire leads and brush strings attached. If your motor is not running efficiently or is operating intermittently, this is a common sign of worn brushes. Due to the friction they are constantly under, they will wear over time, and will start to appear cracked, pitted, or burnt if not replaced regularly. We recommend also taking a look at the armature to ensure it is not damaged. This brush set is compatible with multiple model types, so it is best to consult your user manual for repair instructions.

If your motor is running poorly, running intermittently, it is likely in need of new carbon brushes. This part includes a set of two carbon brushes with wire leads and brush springs attached. Changing the carbon brushes is part of your regular maintenance, so it is a good idea to have a few extra on hand. When replacing the carbon brushes, it is also advised to inspect the armature at the same time.

This carbon brush lead or also known as a carbon motor brush fits the following tools: angle grinders, nibbler and shears, sander polishers, and jig saws. This includes the brush and a wire lead attached. This is one of the most commonly replaced power tool components because the carbon brushes easily wear off with friction and use. If your brush is worn out it can cause intermittent motor function, reduction in electric braking, and in motor power. If you notice burns and cracks on the wire lead, then it is best to replace this part. Tip: when replacing your carbon brush, make sure to inspect your armature for damage as well, in case there are larger motor problems.

Old worn cord shorting out.
Remove the four screws and carefully separate the casing at the trigger handle. Disconnect the terminals by lifting the switch slightly, just enough to remove the inside terminal. Needle nose pliers will make it easier to remove the terminals. Slip the cord protector over the new cord. Cut the two new wires to the proper length. I measured the old connectors for proper fit. Strip a half inch off the insulation, carefully crimp and solder the wires to each terminal, reconnect the terminals, reposition the cord protector, align and snap the casing back together, and replace the four screws. Plug it in and test for proper operation. Read more...

This is a carbon brush set for your power tools, most commonly your angle grinder. This purchase includes a set of 2 carbon brushes. It is known as a wear part because through friction and extended use, it will gradually wear out and require replacement. If you are experiencing reduced electric braking and delayed motor power, a worn brush is most likely the problem. When making this installation, inspect your armature for burns or cracks which could mean a larger motor issue.
