This OEM part includes one carbon brush in metal housing. A worn or damaged brush will lead to motor issues and should ideally be replaced before this happens. It is a good idea to continue to inspect the brushes and replace as soon as they appear tarnished in any way. This is also an opportune time to inspect the armature for burns or cracks.

Blade Clamp Replacement

1. Remove two (2) allen hex nut holding blade clamp to shaft.
2. Using a flathead screwdriver or plier, gently pry clamp downward away from shaft.
3. Installation is reverse. Slide new blade clamp to shaft, gently slide until hex nut holes align and insert nut and tighten down. Read more...
