Washer Drive Pulley
Fix Number FIX10057144
Manufacturer Part Number W10721967
The washer drive pulley kit is also known as a replacement clutch assembly, or a cam kit. The drive pulley is found at the bottom of your washing machine, mounted to the drive shaft. Common symptoms indicating an issue with the part include the washer having difficulty with the wash and spin cycles, or is making a lot of noise. It is likely that the splines on the assembly have become stripped, and the assembly will need to be replaced. To do this repair you will need to disconnect the power and water supply to your washer, and place the washer on its back to access the drive shaft. This kit contains 6 different certified OEM parts that make up the clutch assembly, which includes the pulley, 13 mm nut, cover, gear, cam, and spring.

Agitator Directional Cogs
Fix Number FIX388034
Manufacturer Part Number 80040
Commonly referred to as dog ears, these agitator directional cogs are manufacturer approved replacement parts that come in a package of 4 and are usually used with direct drive washing machines. We recommend replacing all 4 directional cogs at the same time. The agitator directional cogs reach across the gear teeth in one direction and dig into the gear teeth in the other direction to create the needed agitation. This thrusting motion is what tumbles your clothes during the wash cycle. When the teeth on the outer edge are damaged, the cogs will not engage with the upper agitator, making it impossible to agitate as it should. If your machine makes unusual noises, shakes/moves while operating, or will not spin or drain properly, it may be time to replace them. To access this part, simply remove the softener dispenser and then the agitator cap. You will find them attached to the agitator. Each cog is approximately 1 inch long and made of a durable plastic.

- Does not dispense fabric softener or detergent
- Marks left on clothes
- Not cleaning dishes properly

Upper agitator stopped working
Followed the simple instructions on youtube, searching for "kenmore upper agitator doesn't work." There are a number of videos there. Find the notch on agitator cover and pry off the cover using a flat screw driver. Remove the nut in the center of the agitator using the 7/16 socket with extension. Remove upper agitator (mine came off easily but some may require removing the entire agitator, then pulling off the upper agitator). Remove assembly from inside and replace the dogs. Reassemble.

Suspension Spring
Fix Number FIX11743345
Manufacturer Part Number WP63907
This suspension spring is a genuine OEM replacement part for a variety of washers and washer-dryer combos. The primary purpose of the suspension spring is to support the outer tub and keep the tub steady during loads that could cause an unbalance. If this part breaks, is worn down, or has stretched out and lost its spring, it could cause the load to be off-balance which can lead to excessive shaking, moving, noise, and leaks. This part is approximately 2 inches in length when compressed, made of durable metal, and is sold individually. For this repair, you will need a 1/4 nut driver, putty knife, flat blade screwdriver, and a pair of needle-nose pliers. Before you begin, disconnect the power, fill hoses, and drain hose to give you easy and safe access (drain hose may release some water, have a small container or towel near by). Your appliance contains 3 suspension springs, so keep this in mind if you need to order multiple of this part. We suggest you purchase several at a time, as they can be very useful to have on-hand.

noticed water was leaking in front of washer-right before we were leaving for vacation
Upon returning from vacation, we needed to do laundry-so I put some plastic under the washer and we did a load. The water was leaking from the seam between the lid and the back panel on the side with the hot and cold water connections- not the front. I removed two screws from the front bottom panel and two screws from the underside of the lid.Turning the washer on showed the leak was coming from the injection valve( it was brittle from age). The rubber injection valve was replaced and installed( using a little liquid soap to help the rubber hose to slip over the rubber injection valve) with a new clamp. The leak was fixed.

Door Strike
Fix Number FIX890617
Manufacturer Part Number 131763310
Located on the door of front load washing machines, the Door Strike ensures that the door will lock by activating the switch, which in turn allows the appliance to run properly. If your washer door will not open or close, is leaking, or the machine will not start or spin, your door strike may be damaged and should be replaced. Regular wear and tear, or a misaligned door may cause the piece to break. This is an easy repair and requires a Phillips screwdriver. This genuine OEM part is made of white plastic, approximately 2 inches in length, and is held in place by 2 screws on the inside of the door. Simply unscrew and remove the old part, line up the placement of the new part using the notch, and tighten the screws back into place.

Direct Drive Motor Coupling
Fix Number FIX1485646
Manufacturer Part Number 285753A
This is an OEM direct drive motor coupling, which provides a cushioned connection between the transmission and the motor shaft. This is the newer version of this part, made with new metal sleeves for added strength. It is located between the motor and transmission on direct drive washers with no belt. If the drive system seizes, the coupling is designed to break to prevent the drive motor from damage. Consequently, this part may need to be replaced as your appliance ages. Never overload your washer, as this can speed up its deterioration. Symptoms of a faulty motor coupling include a washer pumping but not spinning, slow spinning, the washer not agitating, and unusual noises. This coupling kit contains all the parts necessary to replace your existing direct drive motor coupling. Please note, that after replacing the motor coupling your washer may smell like burning rubber for the first few uses, this is entirely normal as the part becomes acclimated to the machine. Each is sold individually.

Washer would not spin or agitate
First, I found it very easy to follow the help on your web site to determine the most likely parts that would cause my problems. The direct drive motor coupling could be the cause of both problems. Also the agitator repair kit was the most likely cause of the agitator problem, So, I ordered both parts. When AI received the parts there were videos included instructing every detail for installation. I just followed the video for the direct drive motor coupling and both problems were solved with the one part. It took about 30 minutes and was a simple installation. .Thanks for your good service. It saved me a service call or maybe a new washer and dryer set.

This is a V-style drive belt that measures approximately 51-inches long and 3/8-inches wide. This part connects the drive motor to the drive system in the washer to turn the basket. Agitator Repair Kit
Fix Number FIX334650
Manufacturer Part Number 285811
This is an OEM agitator repair kit that includes an agitator cam, four directional cogs, a bearing, thrust spacer, inner cap seal, and washer. These parts are found inside the agitator auger near the top. This kit is used when the top portion of the agitator is not moving correctly but the bottom part is. The agitator is subjected to a lot of force during the wash cycle, so it is common for this part to wear over time, especially if you are consistently over-loading your washer. If your model has a softener dispenser, it will need to be removed to perform this repair. Agitator grease is recommended for this repair, but is not included in this kit.

Agitator not working correctly and leaking from somewhere underneath.
I watched the videos before I ordered the part and when the order arrived I replaced the parts with no problems. The most time consuming part of the job was cleaning the washer. You will be surprised to find what will accumulate down there after years of service. The order came in in record time so this site gets an A+ for being fast and accurate. No back-orders either. I will surely use for any-other parts I need in the future.

Snubber Ring
I began by unplugging the unit first, securing the lid with duct tape and laying the washer on its front face. I removed the belt and transmission pulley per instructions contained in the replacement kit. Mainly consists of popping the "E" ring off with a screwdriver. Once the pulley was off, I stood the washer upright and to access and remove tub. Having the tub out made it easier to compress the brake spring when re-attaching the brake stator. Removing the tub is easy, I just popped off the tub cover and tilted the tub around to ease the tension and remove the bottom springs with pliers (this may require an assistant). With the tub removed, I turned it over to remove the brake stator. USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING THE BRAKE STATOR. A 200 LB BRAKE SPRING IS UNDER IT AND IS UNDER TENSION. With the new brake rotor and brake stator secured, I replaced the snubber ring and motor pivot spring. I put it all back together in reverse order and it spun like a top, is quieter and stops on a dime! Read more...

Washer would run and agitate but would not spin.
Prior to the spin cycle not working, the washer would make a loud screeching noise when the spin cycle would stop. I wasn't sure if there was a problem with the break rotor or some bearing was out. Due to the washer's age, I decided to go ahead and replace the pulley, brake rotor, motor pivot spring and snubber ring components. I began by unplugging the unit first, securing the lid with duct tape and laying the washer on its front face. I removed the belt and transmission pulley per instructions contained in the replacement kit. Mainly consists of popping the "E" ring off with a screwdriver.
