Before you replace the pump, be sure to disconnect the power and water lines to your appliance. This repair requires a pair of slip-joint pliers, a flat head screwdriver, and a putty knife. You may find it useful to have a container on hand to collect any water left in the hoses, and to have another person to assist with lifting and lowering the machine.
