This genuine OEM part is a 6-inch chrome drip bowl. The drip bowl fits under the coiled burner elements on your electric range and is used to collect drips and spills that happen while cooking. If the drip bowls have become damaged, rusty, or are missing entirely, they should be replaced. If you need to replace more than one drip bowl, please be sure to order the appropriate quantity as this part is sold individually. No tools are required to replace the part, but please ensure that the burners are turned off and completely cool to the touch before starting this repair.

I have a 24" Hotpoint range that needed drip bowls badly.
I had gone to local hardware stores to pick up replacement drip bowls. They specifically stated they were for Hotpoint electric plug-ins, but I was back and forth to the stores trying to find the ones that would fit. I finally ordered through this site. Got them in just a couple of days, and they fit like a charm. It's what I'll do next time to save myself a lot of trouble! Read more...

Broken inner pane of glass in oven door
We were able to take the door apart by removing the screws and lifting the inner part away, exposing the broken glass. Replaced the glass and put it all back together. There are several videos on You Tube available, but we didn't have to refer to them. Very successful! Read more...

The bake element is found in the bottom of the oven and is used to provide the heat necessary to cook or bake. If your oven is not coming up to temperature, will not heat up at all, or has inconsistent temperatures, then a faulty bake element may be to blame. This genuine OEM bake element is 240 Volt and 1200 Watts and is a partially open tapered style with push-on wire terminals. Before replacing this part, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range.

This is an oven bake element for a range, sourced directly from the original manufacturer. It is located at the bottom of the oven, responsible for supplying heat for the baking function. If your oven is not baking properly or at all, the bake element may have burned out. The terminals are male 1/4-inch spade connectors. The wires push onto the heating element connectors. For this straightforward repair, you will need a number two Phillips screwdriver or a number two square head screwdriver, and possibly a pair of needle-nose pliers. Be sure to disconnect the power to the range before you begin troubleshooting or replacing this part.

If your gas oven isn’t lighting properly, this flat-style igniter kit might be the fix. It helps open the gas valve and ignite the burner for baking or broiling. It works with many ovens and replaces both short and long flat igniters—but not round ones. If your igniter glows but doesn’t light the burner, it’s probably too weak. The kit includes everything you need: the igniter, wires, bracket, and instructions. It’s about 3 ¾ inches long and easy to install with basic safety steps—just unplug the oven and turn off the gas. Sold individually.

This is a temperature sensor for a range. The sensor is what detects the temperature inside the oven and is often replaced when the oven is having heating issues. Please note that the wire connector may be different from the original; if this applies to your part, cut the quick connect and wire together with porcelain wire nuts. For this DIY repair, you will need a Number 2 Phillips or Number 2 square-head screwdriver and possibly wire strippers. Make sure to disconnect the power before installing this part. You will need to pull the range from the cabinet to gain access to this part from the back of the unit.

Oven not heating to the set temperature
Suspected sensor based on above problem. The biggest problem was not knowing how hard it would be to get the built-in oven from its slot. Once it moved an inch, it was easy. The sensor inside the oven is a little hard to access because of the oven door. I would recommend a magnetic screw driver to make it easy to hold the sensor screws and allow reaching in the oven with one hand. Read more...

If your oven is running hot, not heating evenly, not coming up to temperature, or just not heating up at all, there may be an issue with the temperature sensor. This sensor is usually found in the back of the oven or fitted onto the broil assembly, and is used to measure the temperature inside the cavity of the oven. It then sends that information back to the electronic control, which adjusts the temperature as necessary. If you need a new sensor, this is a genuine OEM replacement part. Before beginning the repair, be sure to disconnect the power supply to your oven, along with the gas if applicable.

Oven temperature was erratic and finally would not preheat.
I was lucky to stumble on this website. There seemed to be many with the same problem. I ordered the part and hoped for the best. It arrived and I installed just as others had described. First, I unplugged the range. Removed the back cover (a central panel) with 4 screws. Familiarized myself with the plug-in thermal sensor. Went around front and loosened the single set screw for the probe (near the top of oven). Threaded the bad element out and rethreaded the new element from the front. In back, reinstall the plastic plug-in connector. Tightened set screw in the oven, plugged it in and tested. It worked! Put the back on and it was done. It took 31 minutes. Actually took longer to clean behind the stave than the repair. Thanks to all for advice. Read more...

If your gas range will not heat up, is not coming up to temperature, the igniter is not glowing, or it glows but will not light, you may need to replace the igniter. This part is a genuine OEM flat style oven igniter and includes two ceramic wire nuts to assist with installation. The igniter is used to light the oven burner in your range by igniting the gas. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power and gas supply to your range. When handling this part, be careful not to touch the black element on the igniter, as this section is very fragile. The igniter measures approximately 3.72 inches in length, with 18 inches of wire lead, and has an amperage range of 3.2 to 3.6.
