No heat on bake, element open, no resistance on ohms test.
Turn off oven circuit breaker. Remove 2 phillips head screws holding element base from back of oven. Push element up in front, gently work out of hole in back careful not to damage or disconnect spade connectors. Once clear from hole, remove connectors from old element and connect new element. Place element base back in hole, fasten screws, turn on circuit breaker and turn oven to bake on high till element is red to test.

Bake element broke.
I took two Philips head screws out. Pulled the element out. I disconnected two wires on either side of the element. I took the old element out of the oven and put the new element into the oven and reattached the two wires to the element and I pushed it all the way back in and re-attached the element to the oven with the two Philips head screws and it was done!

Easy. I really like the 1" grid that showed the size and dimensions. I compared it to the one I had and ordered it. I have ordered over the internet before only to get the wrong size and it was difficult to return and reissue. This was a breeze. Thank you so much!TB

Bake element had ceased to work and deformation had occurred.
This Magic Chef wall oven is a 20+ years old original appliance in my double-wide mobile home. The only literature I have for it does not have the model number nor serial number recorded, and I could find them nowhere on the oven itself. The only help I gathered from the paperwork was how to remove/replace the oven door, making access to the element"s mounting screws and wiring easier. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU HAVE TURNED OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THE OVEN BEFORE BEGINNING WORK! I removed the two screws from the mounting plate and pulled the two wires off the spade terminals. Then I took a few measurements of the element and browsed the site until I found one with the same dimensions and connections. This site is great as they show many parts laid against a 1-inch grid for reference. The short wait for the part to arrive was the perfect time for my wife to clean the oven (she came up with that idea on her own). Installation is basically the reverse of the removal. Piece of cake! (Now we can bake one)

Upper oven broiler and bake elements not working
Two screws to remove long oven sensor. Has a convenient plug on the wiring. New sensor came with proper pigtails to hook up to old wiring. Be sure to push the wiring back through the insulation so oven clean feature won't melt the plastic plugs. Two screws also to remove the bake element. Use pliers to remove the spade connectors as they get real tight over time. Wd40 will help. The broil element takes a few more screws to remove.

Lower element in upper oven burned out
found and turned of breaker for oven. Used a phillips head screw driver to remove retaining screw holding old element in place. When I pulled the old element free of its mounting hole, some fiberous insulation was pulled out with it. I hooked up the replacement element and was concerned that it would push the insulation back into the back wall of the oven. I tried pulling the insulation out around the lugs that the electrical leads attach to. But that only disturbed the insulation further. So I just pushed the element into place and secured it with the screws. I then went to turn the break back on and tested the oven by letting it preheat to about 250 degrees. It appears to be working as well as can be expected.

Baking element wouldn't heat up
About a week before Christmas I discovered that my oven wasn't working. I did some research and found that it was possibly a bad baking element. Since my oven is so old, I measured the element and compared it with parts on this site The detailed specifications helped me to find the right replacement part. I ordered the part and it arrived a day early, which happened to be Christmas Eve. Thanks to their fast shipping and great information, I installed the part in about 5 minutes. All I needed was a screwdriver and to turn the power off at the breaker box and my 15+ year old oven was working like new! This site saved me SO much money and saved my $70 Christmas roast! Thank you so much!!
