This part is the center crisper drawer slide rail which helps to support the crisper drawers in your refrigerator. If you have difficulty opening or closing your crispers, the center slide rail may be broken and needs to be replaced. Too much weight on the shelf above or in the crisper drawers may cause the center slide rail to break. Replacing this part is easy and does not require any tools. First remove any items off the crisper shelf along with the crisper drawers, then carefully remove the glass shelf. Once you can access the broken center slide rail, gently pull forward on the crisper shelf frame and pull the rail out. Take your new part and line up the locator tab at the rear of the rail, pull the crisper shelf forward, and drop the new rail into place. You can then replace the glass shelf and the crisper drawers, which should now easily slide in with the new rail installed. This is a genuine OEM part, made of white plastic and approximately 13.5 inches in length.

It is recommended to replace your refrigerator water filter every 6 months or 200 gallons of water. This will ensure consistently good-tasting water that is free of pollutants. This NSF-certified filter is designed so it is easily accessible and simple to replace. It can be found in the front, bottom panel of your appliance. Remove your new filter from the packaging, making sure to remove the port cover. The lower door closing cam raises the door to keep it from touching the refrigerator liner when the door is closed. It fits both the left and right side of the refrigerator door. The most common reasons for replacing this part are the fridge door slips down when opened, the door does not open smoothly, or does not close by itself. This original part is made of durable black plastic, is approximately 1.1 inches by 1.5 inches, and is sold individually. To effectively install this part, you will need a 5/16 nut driver and a small flat blade screwdriver. Before you begin, disconnect the power and the water supply. We suggest lubricating this part before installing. To make the repair, remove the top hinge cover, then the top hinge support. Lift the door from the bottom support and remove the old door cams. Replace the cams and put the door back on the lower hinge support. Replace the top hinge support and that completes the repair.

The door would not stay closed, the closing cams were completely worn out.

This is a very simple repair, by far the hardest part was emptying all of the condiments out of the door. After that was done I removed the top hinge cover and then the hinge. I lifted the door off of the refrigerator and set it on a card table so that it was off the ground. I took the worn cams off of the door and the refrigerator cabinet (one screw for each of them). I screwed the new cams into position and lubricated them with petroleum jelly. Then I put the door back in position and reattached the top hinge. It works perfectly again. Read more...

This part includes one authentically sourced 3-pin rocker switch for a refrigerator. It is responsible for turning the light on inside the fridge when the door is open. It is commonly replaced because the light has stopped turning on with the door open. For this simple repair, start by disconnecting the power. Use a putty knife and a flathead screwdriver to pry the door switch out of the liner. Disengage the wire harness to release the damaged switch. Install the new door switch by first connecting it to the wire harness. Line the switch up on the liner and snap it into position. Power it back up and double-check that it is working.

Switch actuator was broken

Replaced the switch. It was easily pried out with the putty knife blade by sliding the knife blade under the switch flange, depressing the lock tab and gently twisting the knife blade to pop the switch body out. Unplug the connector to remove the faulty switch from the wiring harness and plug in the replacement. The connector is designed to fit on only one way. The ice maker works by filling with water from the inlet valve, freezing it into cubes, and then dispensing the cubes into the storage bucket. It will then refill with water and repeat this process until the ice storage bucket is full. If yours is not making ice or it is leaking, it may be time to replace the ice maker. Depending on usage and water quality, these should be replaced every three to ten years. Please note that this kit does not come with a new shut off arm (also known as a bail arm). You will need to reuse the arm from your old ice maker, or you can purchase a new one separately. This genuine OEM parts kit includes the replacement ice maker, wire harnesses (flat and round plug versions), and the mounting hardware. The wire harness from your old ice maker can also be reused if you choose. This model is approximately 11x5 inches in size, made of plastic and metal, and is black and silver in color. This model does not work with refrigerators that have the ice auger on the door, it is meant to sit in the upper left hand of the freezer. Please ensure that you disconnect the power and water supply before beginning this repair. ***NOTE: Ice maker does NOT come with the bail or shut off arm. You must order them separately if required. It does come complete with flat and round plug wiring harness, the mounting hardware, and the instructions. The harness can be reused. The ice maker will not fit refrigerators that have the ice auger mounted on the door.

This clear convertible meat drawer is for the lower part of the refrigerator. It has an air duct that allows cold air to flow into the drawer from the freezer. It can be used to store meats and vegetables to help preserve them for longer. If the food that is kept inside it is going bad quicker than usual, it could be in need of a replacement. If the drawer is not moving in and out smoothly, check to make sure the tracks that it slides on are in good condition. If they are, the drawer itself may be damaged.
