Terminal Block Kit This kit comes with the necessary components to replace your burner terminal block. It includes interchangeable mounting brackets, a terminal box, ceramic wire nuts, heat shrink protective tubing, and wires. The purpose of this part is to connect the wire harness to the surface element, which allows for the burners to heat up. Some common issues that result from a damaged terminal block is that your element will not heat properly or not heat up at all, may cause burning smell, or make a buzzing noise. If you remove the element and the tips are black, that is a good sign there is a problem with the terminal block and it should be replaced. It may also be necessary to replace the burner elements as well, if the tips are badly damaged. This repair will require a pair of wire strippers, a #1 square head screwdriver, and a heat gun or hair dryer. If you are not comfortable with cutting, stripping, and reconnecting of wires you should contact a qualified professional to complete this repair. Surface Element - 8 Inch - 2600W The surface elements provide heat for cooking on the top your range, typically in a smaller and larger size to fit your various pots and pans. If an element is not heating up, it is a sign that it should be replaced. This is an easy repair that does not require any tools. Before beginning this repair, ensure that the elements are turned off and cold to the touch. With the element removed, inspect the terminals for signs of corrosion or arcing. If these are present, you will need to replace the terminal block as well, or you will have the same issues come up again. This OEM replacement part measures 8 inches in diameter with five coils.

This element is a genuine OEM replacement part, has looped terminal ends, comes with a black medallion center, and fits most electric ranges. All burners are made of a heating wire that produces heat from electricity. Remove the non-functional burner element from the terminal block (or receptacle). Use a multi-meter to check for continuity. Check the end of the terminals for corrosion or heat damage. If there is corrosion or heat damage, replace the whole terminal block or receptacle at the same time you replace the damaged coil. Before you start this repair, make sure that the element is turned off and cool to the touch.

Burner Cap - 15K This is a replacement burner cap for your gas range or cooktop. The burner cap is found on the burner head, and prevents debris from getting into the head when it is not in use. The cap is black in color and is sold individually. It is a little more than 4 inches in diameter. To replace the burner cap, simply remove the damaged cap, and replace it with the new one. Dual Radiant Element - 9 Inch The dual radiant element for your range or cooktop provides the heat that you cook with. It is found under the main cooktop. If your element will not heat, you will need to replace it with this part. This radiant element is 9 inches in diameter and is the larger of the two element sizes on your range. Be sure to disconnect your range from the power source before completing this repair. This radiant element is sold individually.

The burner elements on the cooktop plug into the receptacle, and if the burner is not heating up properly, the receptacle may need to be replaced.
