This genuine OEM bake element is located on the bottom of the oven cavity to supply heat for baking. The approximate size is 19-1/2 inches wide by 18-1/2 inches long and has 3-1/2 inch inserts. The element terminals are male quarter inch spade connectors and have push-on wire terminals. If your oven is not heating evenly, the element will not heat, or there is little to no heat when baking, you may need to replace the element. Please remember to disconnect the power to your oven before you start your repair. Next, remove the 2 screws securing the old element, pull it out, and discard. Connect the new element prongs where the old element fit and screw it back in place. This is a very simple repair that anyone can do.

This is a single lower spray arm found in dishwashers to spray water and detergent vigorously over the dishes. This spray arm is made of plastic, so can warp or crack with time. The holes in the spray arm can get clogged with debris, so it should be cleaned every so often. If it is beyond cleaning or damaged, it will need to be replaced. If the holes are clogged, this can sometimes mean there is a problem with the filter system, so it is a good idea to inspect this as well. For this repair, start by turning off the water supply to the dishwasher. Pull the lower rack out of the dishwasher and out of the way. Remove the lower wash arm. Using a flathead screwdriver, push the small locking tabs located on each side at the bottom of the spray arm. You should now be able to easily pull the spray arm out of the dishwasher. Align the new lower wash arm and push it down to secure it in place. Make sure it can spin freely and is not making contact with the heating element. Place the lower dishrack back into the appliance and close the door.

Took lower stray arm off because of draining issues, put back together and arm melted after starting.
The reviews before mine helped A LOT!! First of all, It has everything to do with making sure that when the arm is installed that it is turned until it clicks/locks in. This is why my arm melted when I put it back together the first time. I read the reviews before I purchased and that was really the only way I knew how to repair the piece. It does not come with instructions. Read more...

This is a genuine door shelf retaining bar for a refrigerator. It attaches to the inside of the door on the refrigerator and helps to secure items placed on the shelf. It is made of white plastic and can be easily installed without the use of tools. Start by making sure the projection on the inner door panel fits into the recessed area at the top of the shelf retainer bar. Once they are lined up, press it into place until you hear a snap. This part measures approximately 25-inches wide, 3-inches high, and 5-inches deep. If it breaks, cracks or warps over time, it will need to be replaced. This part is sold as an individual part. We recommend taking this opportunity to inspect the other shelf retaining bars for damage in case they also need to be replaced at the same time.

Needed to replace a broken bottom door shelf retainer bar on our older fridge.
I took the shelf retainer bar out of the shipping box, looked at the middle shelf to see how the bar sits on the brackets, and put it on. Took about 2 minutes. No tools needed. Done! Easy peasy! Read more...

This dishwasher door gasket is attached to the bottom of the door, creating a strong seal between the tub and the outer edge of the door. This seal is prone to wear and tear due to its constant exposure to water, detergent, and food particles. If the gasket appears cracked, broken, or you notice a leak coming from the door, it will need to be replaced immediately. This gasket measures approximately 23 inches long. For this simple repair, no tools are necessary. Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom rack. The gasket is located right along the bottom of the door, molded inside the channel. It is held in place in the groove across the bottom. Remove the old gasket by pulling it out with your hands. Take your new silicone gasket and line it up so the notch fits into the groove and slide it in place until it is secure. Reinstall the lower dishrack. We recommend leaving the door closed for a few hours to ensure the gasket is sealed tightly.

This OEM drip bowl fits under 8-inch burner elements and has a diameter of approximately 10-inches. Drip bowls catch any spills, and are a quick, easy, and cheap way to improve your cooktop aesthetic. While the replacement may be visually different from the original, it will fit your appliance. If your drip bowl has become discolored, corroded, or otherwise damaged, it needs to be replaced. This drip bowl is sold individually, so if you would like to replace all 4 drip bowls on your appliance you will need to account for this. No tools are required for installation, simply line up the hole on the bowl with the terminal block and drop it into place.

The door gasket provides a watertight seal between the tub and the door, to keep water from leaking out of your dishwasher. If your dishwasher is leaking you may need to replace the door gasket. This gray door gasket is made of rubber and measures approximately 73 inches. For this repair, open the dishwasher door and remove the lower dish tray. Use your hands to pull out the old gasket. Clean the channel with a rag. Press the new gasket in place so it sits inside the groove in the door. Keep the door closed tightly for a few hours to ensure a strong seal is made.

Patrick from Pleasanton, CA
leak from door
I ordered the top 3 parts in terms of probability of solving the problem (water inlet valve, tub gasket, and bottom door gasket). I installed all 3 and it did not solve the door leak. Then I realized that the bottom door gasket had come out (in other words, I had not installed it properly). I reinstalled the bottom door gasket (a critical point is that it has to be *pressed in* firmly -- there should be some resistance), and it worked. Note that the bottom door gasket is a hybrid between a true seal and a splash guard. The notch in the middle is designed to drain water from the door back into the tub. Because of that notch opening, there is sputtering and splashing at various points of the wash cycle. This appears to be by design, and those splashes result in water being absorbed by the insulating foam. Thank you to the previous submission/posting authors, as this is what clued me in. Read more...

This middle shelf retainer bar attaches to the inside of the refrigerator door and helps to contain items on the shelf inside your appliance, like condiments and small containers. Its approximate size is 26 inches long, 3.5 inches tall, and made of white durable plastic. This part can start to wear or break over time, in which case it should be replaced. This is a beginner repair, that will not take any time at all. Start by removing the old part by pulling the tabs to release it. To install your new shelf, line it up with the shelf indents over the tabs, and gently press it down to lock in place. This is an OEM replacement part that is sold individually.

This drip bowl is an OEM approved replacement part designed for use with various electric ranges and cooktops. This part is located underneath the burner to contain any spills while cooking. It fits under 6-inch burner elements and has a diameter of approximately 8-inches. While the replacement may be visually different from the original, if you have used your correct model number to search, this will fit your appliance. Common reasons to replace this often neglected part is if it has become discolored, corroded, or otherwise damaged. Each drip bowl is sold individually. This is a good time to inspect all drip bowls on the appliance, if you would like to give your appliance a fresh look, keeping in mind that they may be different sizes and are sold separately. No tools are required for installation, simply line up the hole on the bowl with the terminal block and drop it into place.

This handle works on both the fridge and freezer door, and if yours has become damaged it should be replaced. This is a genuine OEM replacement part, and is sold individually. If you need to replace both handles, please be sure to order the correct quantity. This is an easy repair that requires the use of a Phillips screwdriver. If the old handle is still attached to the door, remove the two screws (located at the top of the fridge door, or bottom of the freezer door) and then slide the opposite end off of the single screw. When attaching the new handle, do this in the opposite order. Slide the keyhole in the handle onto the individual screw on the door, then line up the other end of the handle and insert the two screws to secure the handle to the door.

The original freezer handle 530-450-6469 had a sharp corner that could hurt one’s head upon coming up when reaching for a lower shelf in the refrigerator. I replaced it with door handle 218428101 which has a tapered end.
To take out the old handle, you simply take out the screws from the bottom and then you rotate the handle counterclockwise, and it released the top part of the handle from that screw hook. To put on the new handle I just did the reverse but since my new handle was not the official handle for the fridge, it did not fit the old screw holes but it did coincide with other screw holes that were plugged. I did not yet drill the screws into the new plugged area but just put on duct tape and it seems to be holding just fine. If I cared about the aesthetics, I would just drill the holes into the plugged screw holes. Read more...
