CABLE-CONTROL 37.5

This is an authentic 51-inch control cable for walk-behind lawn mowers. This part is made up of a metal wire cable with a Z-type bent end on either side, and a 37.5-inch rubberized outer cover. When the control handle is released, the control cable stops the blade. If the cable breaks, the brake will not release even after pressing the lever. To remove the old cable, cut off any cable ties, remove the cable end from the control bail, and remove the control cable from the engine (you may need pliers). Remove the cables from the openings on the handle, which can be twisted off by rotating the cable at a 90-degree angle.

This is a bell blade support, also known as a bell spacer, for your lawn mower. It is fitted between the bottom of the blade, and the blade bolt. This part provides support for the blade. It is made of metal to ensure a long life. If there is visible damage or wear, replace this part.

Blade became warped over time, baffle was falling down
In order to change the blade in a push mower you need to use a 2x4 or equivalent to stop the blade from spinning. I bent the blade back previously by heating it up but I think it was causing too much vibration so I got a new blade after hitting stumps over the years. I run some things into the ground. The spark plug is amazing and really high quality. Its a simple change. The drive belt is also a simple change, any 6 in 1 if you remove the screw heads will have the right nut sizes for most mower parts. Always lube up the belt "like two drops" with a little belt oil and it will last longer. I use diesel oil, 3 n 1, or chain saw bar lube oil. The tensioner for the belt is an easy adjustment. This model is also prone to fuel lines being blocked. Just detach the fuel line, blow it out with your mouth, and reattach. Have had it happen twice in 10 years, some people would be pulling spark plugs, diagnosing the engine, etc, its pretty easy, just put some fuel on the carb to see if your getting fuel blockage. This is a single OEM drain valve for an air compressor. A drain valve is a small device that is usually located at the bottom of the compressor air receiver. The drain valve can be opened or closed, and this allows water to exit the tank. Water builds up if air is left in the tank for an extended period of time, and if left for too long, it can start to rust out the inside of the tank and the drain valve can become clogged with rust or start to corrode. You should be draining the tank each time you use your air compressor to stop this from happening. This is a very quick and simple repair. Use a wrench to remove the old drain valve, and thread the new one into place by hand.

The right side of the mowing deck was dragging the ground.
I identified the area and compared it to the opposite side which still had the cotter pin and place. The cotter pin on the right side had been lost in the mowing process. I used pliers to attach the new pin and all is well! Super glad to find a website that carries all parts for my dad's mower. He has dementia and can't remember where the manual is so I was glad to find fix.com. Read more...
