LOWER RACK ROLLER

The roller helps the lower rack of your dishwasher to smoothly slide in and out of your appliance. A broken or worn roller wheel can make it clunky or difficult to get the rack in and out of the dishwasher, and the part should be replaced. The rollers are sold individually, however there are four in total in your dishwasher. You may want to replace all at the same time to ensure they have even wear. Replacing a broken roller is a simple job and may require the use of a flat blade screwdriver. Remove the entire lower rack from your dishwasher and place it on a suitable work surface. Release the tabs to open the cover on the roller assembly, using the screwdriver if necessary to pry them open. Pull the damaged wheel off the assembly and push the new one into place. Reattached the cover and place the rack back into the bottom of your dishwasher. The lower rack should now easily glide in and out. These rollers are genuine OEM parts that measure approximately 1.5 inches in diameter and are charcoal in color.

Door Latch

If your dishwasher door will not close or latch, or the machine will not start, you may need to replace the door latch. This genuine OEM replacement latch is meant to keep your dishwasher door closed while the machine operates, and if your latch is faulty your appliance may not work as intended. This is an easy repair that just requires a Phillips screwdriver, but you will need to pull the dishwasher out from underneath your counter to access the part. Since there is an electrical component involved, be sure to disconnect the power supply before beginning your repair. At this time, you should also inspect the door strike for damage, and replace that part if necessary.

ROLLER CARRIER

This part is the replacement carrier roller for your dishwasher. It is also known as the wheel support. It is made of gray plastic and is approximately 5 inches by 2 inches. The carrier roller supports the wheels on your upper dish rack so it can slide in and out of the dishwasher efficiently. This roller is for the right side of the dish rack, the left side is sold separately. Because it is made of plastic, the roller can occasionally crack and break, and when this occurs, it will need to be replaced. If you notice that your dish rack is having difficulty sliding in and out, you should check to see if the roller is damaged. This is an OEM part from the manufacturer and it is sold individually.

The light switch in your refrigerator is used to turn the light on and off when the fridge door opens or closes. This is considered a closed switch, which means that when the fridge door depresses the button there is no continuity and the light turns off. When the fridge door opens and the button is released, there is continuity, and the light turns on. If the light in your fridge is not burned out but will not come on, the switch may need to be replaced. This genuine OEM replacement light switch is spring loaded and made of a white plastic. This is an easy repair that will require a flat blade screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers to complete the job. Door would not close after insatallation

Followed the video with no problems, but the door would not close. There is a rubber bumper that the light switch strikes, This bumper was not horizontal, and just had to be twisted to a horizontal position. The door then closed tightly, Total repair time was about 5 minutes! Read more...
