I wanted Extra Baskets.

I just wanted 2 extra baskets for my new small freezer. It took a little extra time to figure out what the part number was for the correct basket. It seems this type basket was made to fit several models, including mine, which in fact it really does not fit like the basket that came with the freezer. The handles on the top of the baskets are larger than the original basket and they interfer with the closure of the lid. But I made one basket fit horizonally and cannot use the 2nd basket at all. But I plan on giving it to a friend of mine who is purchasing a freezer similar to mine. Read more...

Compressor Start Relay

When a compressor cannot start, the refrigerator may hum, click, run only briefly, or remain too warm. A start relay with a heat-sensitive resistor controls current to the compressors starting circuit. The assembly may need replacement if its housing is cracked, scorched, loose, or rattles from broken material inside. These signs are helpful, but electrical tests and the appliance service information should guide the diagnosis. Verify the exact model before ordering because terminal layouts can vary. Disconnect power, allow the compressor area to cool, and discharge any capacitor if equipped and directed. Do not bend the compressor pins, and reinstall the protective cover before operation.
