Light Switch
Fix Number FIX8758429
Manufacturer Part Number WR23X10725
The light switch in your refrigerator is used to turn the light on and off when the fridge door opens or closes. This is considered a closed switch, which means that when the fridge door depresses the button there is no continuity and the light turns off. When the fridge door opens and the button is released, there is continuity, and the light turns on. If the light in your fridge is not burned out but will not come on, the switch may need to be replaced. This genuine OEM replacement light switch is spring loaded and made of a white plastic. This is an easy repair that will require a flat blade screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers to complete the job. Since you will be working with electrical components, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your fridge before beginning this repair.

Refrigerator Not Cooling
1) Run Capacitor. Disconnected electrical power plug from the wall socket. Located the Run Capacitor in bottom rear of refrigerator, disconnected the retainer spring, pulled the wasted run capacitor off and plugged the new one into the slot and replaced the retainer spring. 2) Motor AC/DC Evaporator Fan. Opened top freezer door. Removed the shelving by carefully sliding the shelving pins upward and into the recessed slots for easy removal. Used Phillip's head screw driver to remove two screws holding the face guard in place and the 6" Crescent wrench to remove the bracket holding the fan motor to the bracket and the Phillip's head screw driver to remove two screws holding the bracket to the inside rear of the freezer. Unplugged the wasted motor AC/DC Evaporator Fan and plugged the new one into its place. Reinstalled all hardware as it came out. Refrigerator is now working like new. Simple and easy project saved me $100s of dollars fro having to purchase a new Refrigerator. My significant other was happy that it worked so well and saved $$. She was happy and went to Walmart shopping with the savings and brought me a pizza home. Everyone was a winner. Paul and Kimberly Juliana Read more...

I wanted Extra Baskets.
I just wanted 2 extra baskets for my new small freezer. It took a little extra time to figure out what the part number was for the correct basket. It seems this type basket was made to fit several models, including mine, which in fact it really does not fit like the basket that came with the freezer. The handles on the top of the baskets are larger than the original basket and they interfer with the closure of the lid. But I made one basket fit horizonally and cannot use the 2nd basket at all. But I plan on giving it to a friend of mine who is purchasing a freezer similar to mine. Read more...

Haier refrigerator not getting cold in the bottom
Remove the back panel in the freezer . Should be four Phillip head screws holding it in place . Remove these four screws . Starting at the top of the panel pull panel forward , disconnect the plug going to the fan . I left the other wires plugged up , and payed the panel down inside the fridge . With a1/4 inch nut driver remove the two screws holding the fan bracket to the panel . The green wire should be hooked to the fan mount bracket. Remove the 1/4 inch screw using the same nut driver . Remove the two screws holding the fan motor to the fan bracket. Gentley pull on the fan blades ( should slide off the fan motor ) without having to remove the spring inside the top of the fan blades . Remove the top mount bracket making sure the rubber bushing stays in the mount bracket lift the motor from the bottom of the mounting bracket , again making sure the rubber bushing stays in the bottom part of the mount bracket . Replace the new motor in reverse removal instructions. Read more...
