This element is approximately 12 inches in diameter and is sold individually. The haliant surface element supplies the heat needed to the top of the cooktop. If your burner is not lighting up when it is turned on, you may have an issue with the haliant surface element. Be sure to disconnect power to the range before you begin this repair. To replace the element, remove the screws holding the cooktop in place, then remove it. Then, remove the screws holding the burner in place, disconnect the wires and replace the burner. Replace the cooktop and screw it back in to complete the repair.
