My washer still spins ok but there is gear grease smell and was some that came out in tub. Would this still be the part I need?

Hello Lynette, thank you for asking. Based on the understanding of the issue, we would recommend replacing the gearcase, part number FIX16220911, to fix the issue. As, the seal of the gearcase may be worn out or bad. We hope this helps!
