It has a frosted glass bulb with a standard metal socket base, making it easy to screw and unscrew by hand to replace. Sometimes referred to as a retaining clip, the retaining ring is used to hold the drum support roller onto the shaft in your dryer. The clip may need to be replaced if you find that your dryer is noisy while tumbling or will not tumble at all. The retaining clip can also be used with stand mixers, to hold the pinion gear to the agitator shaft. This genuine OEM part is made entirely out of metal and measures approximately half an inch in diameter.

If your dryer is making excessive noise, or it will not tumble, there may be an issue with the idler pulley wheel. The idler pulley wheel is attached to the idler bracket and is used to secure the dryer drum belt, which helps the drum to rotate. This genuine OEM part is made of white plastic with a metal center bearing. Over time this part can become worn, which will result in your drum not rotating or screeching noises when it spins. If this happens the idler pulley wheel should be replaced. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your dryer. To complete this job, you will need a Philips screwdriver, a 5/16 nut driver, a pair of Channellock pliers, and a small flat blade screwdriver.

Dryer was a bit noisy with a full load of wet clothes
As per the repair videos on the site, I searched the internet for a couple of supplementary videos just to make sure I was doing it correctly. It was was all pretty easy. Expect to vacuum out and clean out the interior of the dryer. Also, to make things easier, disconnect the bulkhead and exterior like in the video, but also keep the top flipped up until reassembling, it'll make it much easier. When reinstalling the belt, remember how the belt is going to go around the pulley, you'll have to do this without sight as the barrel will the way and you won't be able to see what you're doing. It's really not hard but just keep this in mind. Also, as you disassembling, it would help to snap some pictures of where each screw goes and how; reassembly was a tiny bit tricky as I didn't do this. Read more...

This part is located on the front bulkhead of the dryer and helps the drum to rotate smoothly and quietly. If you notice a screeching or metal-on-metal noise while your appliance is operating, you may need to replace the front glides. This genuine OEM front glide kit comes with a blue plastic glide, a brown cork pad, and two metallic rivets. We recommend replacing both sets of glides at the same time, which will require the purchase of two kits. To complete this repair, you will need a Philips screwdriver and a 5/16 nut-driver to remove the front panel and the bulkhead of the dryer, a drill with a 1/8-inch bit to remove the old rivets, and a rivet tool to install the new ones. Please ensure that you disconnect the power supply to your dryer before beginning this repair. While you have the appliance opened, we recommend vacuuming out any lint and debris, and inspecting the felt around the bulkhead and replacing if necessary.

"Sqealing" noise when drum rotating
Disconnected power supply, removed front panel, removed tub support bracket, removed electrical lines from light and door switch( to have better access to install front guide kit), removed belt, removed drum, removed old rollers, installed new rollers and rest of installation was in reverse order of taking machine apart. In order to install the front guide kit(which I've never done before), I had to watch the installation instructions via you-tube. This was a tremendous aide as the instructions were simple and very adequate. Read more...

This is a single OEM dryer drum belt. It measures 100 inches in length, 3/8 of an inch wide and has five ribs and four grooves. Keep in mind that this rubber drum belt will stretch over time, so if you are comparing your current belt to these specified measurements, they may not be exact. For this repair, you will need to disconnect the power, and remove the front panel and drum. You will need a 5/16 nut driver and a stubby Phillips screwdriver. While you are doing this repair, be careful not to let the belt fall into the groove in the drum, causing it to be too loose.

The blower wheel is responsible for blowing heat into the dryer drum, and out of the exhaust vent. If you notice that your dryer is taking too long to dry or is make unusually loud noises, it may be time to replace the blower wheel. This genuine OEM replacement part comes with a metallic clamp that holds the wheel in place. This part attaches to the drive motor shaft and can be accessed by removing the front panel of the dryer. Be sure to disconnect the power supply before beginning this repair.

Noisy 'rattling' sounds from Dryer ->bad blower fan wheel
Watched the video - really helped me get prepared. Very simple repair: first, unplug power! Removed front panel 2 screws & slowly pulled panel outward to release top clips (2min). At unit bottom, removed the blower fan grey cover (7 screws, 3min). Pulled spring washer (careful not to bend) from shaft and removed spring clip on blower fan wheel (5 min). Installed new blower fan wheel onto shaft with washer&clip. Reinstalled blower cover/screws and front panel/screws. Total time about 15min. Thanks for an easy, inexpensive fix! Read more...

If your freezer has stopped making ice cubes, it may be time to replace your ice maker. Normal wear and tear, or accidental damage may be the cause of this. This model includes the control device and ice mold, which are made of plastic and metal, and measure approximately 11 inches long by 5 inches wide. Please note that this kit does not include the cover, ice level arm, or the wire harness. These parts can be ordered separately, or you can use the existing parts from the original ice maker. This Replacement Ice Maker is a genuine OEM part and is also known as an Ice Maker Assembly or a Refrigerator Ice Maker. Installation will require a quarter inch nut driver, and make sure that you disconnect your power and water supply before beginning this repair. Once the new part is in place, your fridge will begin making ice again within a few hours.

This OEM kit comes with two ignition coils (one three-terminal boost/hold coil, and one two-terminal secondary coil). Usually only one of them burns out, but you should replace them as a set as both have to be operational for the gas valve to open. The primary purpose of the part is to open the gas valve and allow the gas to enter the burner. This is a safety mechanism to make sure that there is never an unsafe buildup of gas inside the appliance. You will find the coils attached to the dryer gas valve. This is not an uncommon repair; it can fail due to normal material fatigue over time. To test your current parts, watch the burner, and if the igniter glows for a while and then shuts off without the gas is igniting, it usually means one of these coils is bad.

Dryer ran but did not dry clothing.
Best site I have ever used for repairs. First a list of what parts were needed was provided right from the start, no guessing. I followed all of the video's provided for installation instructions and and that was it. Very easy to make repairs and almost rebuilt my dated dryer to like new condition. Appliance was in very good physical condition just needed new components to bring it back. Highly recommend this site to anyone who can turn a wrench. Read more...

Over time, the belts in your washer can either stretch out and sag, or become brittle and snap. When this happens, it can result in the belt losing its grip and will not be able to spin or drain the tub. If this happens, the belts will need to be replaced. This OEM belt kit includes the drive belt and the pump belt, which are both V-shaped, and made of black rubber. The pump belt is located between the motor and pump under the washer, and the drive belt is looped around the drive and motor pulley at the bottom of the machine. This repair is easiest to complete if the washer is placed on its back, and you will need to disconnect the power and water supply.

My washer was making a squeaky noise and vibrating on the rinse cycle.
I unplugged the washer then took the front cover off and took the screws holding the lid out. Then i leaned the washer back against the wall and unscrewed the nuts holding the 3 tub hold down springs. These look like 2 seperate nuts, 1 on top and 1 under the washer bottom but it is 1 long body nut so just put the socket on the bottom and back it all the way off. Then Take the drive and pump belts off and put blocking down under the tub pulley and pull the washer back down so the tub is resting on the Blocking, this will raise it up enough to clean the cone hub where the damper pads go. I used a mirror propped up inside the back of the washer to see the back side of the damper area to clean and install the new pads. The kit does not come with the glue needed to put the pads back on so don't forget to order it with the parts. Also the glue does not give a full cure time so i gave it 24 hours to be sure it was set. then i started putting everything back together. The tub springs gave me the most trouble. I was able to get 1 on easy but the other 2 i had to use a clamp on the support to the spring and use a pry bar to hold the spring down far enough to start the nut back on. But after that it all went easy and quick. This site does a great job with all the helpful instructions, pictures and videos. Read more...
