This is a genuine door shelf retaining bar for a refrigerator. It attaches to the inside of the door on the refrigerator and helps to secure items placed on the shelf. It is made of white plastic and can be easily installed without the use of tools. Start by making sure the projection on the inner door panel fits into the recessed area at the top of the shelf retainer bar. Once they are lined up, press it into place until you hear a snap. This part measures approximately 25-inches wide, 3-inches high, and 5-inches deep. If it breaks, cracks or warps over time, it will need to be replaced. This part is sold as an individual part. We recommend taking this opportunity to inspect the other shelf retaining bars for damage in case they also need to be replaced at the same time.

Needed to replace a broken bottom door shelf retainer bar on our older fridge.
I took the shelf retainer bar out of the shipping box, looked at the middle shelf to see how the bar sits on the brackets, and put it on. Took about 2 minutes. No tools needed. Done! Easy peasy! Read more...

This is an authentic refrigerator water filter that is sold individually. It is important to change this filter every 6 months or when your water filter indicator lights red. Not changing your filter can result in undesirable odor and taste in your drinking water and ice. The replacement of this part is straightforward, simply push on the end of the old filter to disengage it. Remove and discard the old filer. Slide the new filter into the housing and press it down until you hear a click. Run water through the dispenser to remove any bubbles or contaminants caught in the system, do this for about 3 minutes. Reset the indicator by pressing it down for several seconds.

To ensure fresh, unscented, unflavored drinking water and ice, you will need to relace your water filter every 6 months or when the indicator light suggests. This NSF-Certified authentic water filter reduces common pollutants found in drinking water by 99 percent. Installing a new filter is an easy job that anyone can do. Install the new filter by sliding it into the housing and pushing it into place until it locks. You will then need to re-set the indicator button by pressing it down for at least 10 seconds. If the middle shelf on your refrigerator door is damaged, this is the OEM replacement part needed. Door shelves are great for organizing items in your appliance such as jars, containers, and condiments, and if broken can prevent the door from properly opening and closing. This white, plastic door shelf has open square larches and measures roughly 24-1/4 inches wide and 3-3/4 inches deep. This low effort repair requires very little time and zero tools. Fasten it directly to the door by sliding it in place, and your repair is complete.

This middle shelf retainer bar attaches to the inside of the refrigerator door and helps to contain items on the shelf inside your appliance, like condiments and small containers. Its approximate size is 26 inches long, 3.5 inches tall, and made of white durable plastic. This part can start to wear or break over time, in which case it should be replaced. This is a beginner repair, that will not take any time at all. Start by removing the old part by pulling the tabs to release it. To install your new shelf, line it up with the shelf indents over the tabs, and gently press it down to lock in place. This is an OEM replacement part that is sold individually.

This handle works on both the fridge and freezer door, and if yours has become damaged it should be replaced. This is a genuine OEM replacement part, and is sold individually. If you need to replace both handles, please be sure to order the correct quantity. This is an easy repair that requires the use of a Phillips screwdriver. If the old handle is still attached to the door, remove the two screws (located at the top of the fridge door, or bottom of the freezer door) and then slide the opposite end off of the single screw. When attaching the new handle, do this in the opposite order. Slide the keyhole in the handle onto the individual screw on the door, then line up the other end of the handle and insert the two screws to secure the handle to the door.

The original freezer handle 530-450-6469 had a sharp corner that could hurt one’s head upon coming up when reaching for a lower shelf in the refrigerator. I replaced it with door handle 218428101 which has a tapered end.
To take out the old handle, you simply take out the screws from the bottom and then you rotate the handle counterclockwise, and it released the top part of the handle from that screw hook. To put on the new handle I just did the reverse but since my new handle was not the official handle for the fridge, it did not fit the old screw holes but it did coincide with other screw holes that were plugged. I did not yet drill the screws into the new plugged area but just put on duct tape and it seems to be holding just fine. If I cared about the aesthetics, I would just drill the holes into the plugged screw holes. Read more...

If opening and closing your refrigerator is difficult, it could be due to a damaged or warped crisper cover front support. This part keeps the crisper shelf in place and mounts to the inside cabinet wall. Sold individually, this part is white in color, measures approximately 1 inch in diameter, and can be used for the front and rear support. The installation of this part is considered easy and should only take a few minutes. You will need a small flat blade screwdriver, putty knife, and soft hammer. Take the crisper and shelf out of the refrigerator first. To remove the old part, start by pushing the locking pin into the interior of the cabinet using the screwdriver, pull the support out with the putty knife. If taking out the pin is difficult, use a flat blade screwdriver to push it down and out of sight, this will not harm your refrigerator. Remove the pin and attach the new support, using a soft hammer to lock the new pin in place.

This is a genuine OEM white plastic door bin for a refrigerator. It is mounted on the inner door and is designed so it can be easily moved to adjust for additional space as needed. It holds food items, such as bottles and jars. The cold temperatures of the refrigerator can cause plastic to become weak over time, and break. When the door bin is not secure in the inner door panel, it will need to be replaced. This part measures approximately 5.75-inches high, 16-inches wide, and 4.25-inches deep and is sold individually. This is a quick and easy repair, that does not require the use of any tools. The bin attaches to the refrigerator door by the back of the shelf itself.

The drawer track support provides support for the right side of the sliding drawer to help it move open and closed easily. This part is sold individually, so if you also require the left side rail it will need to be ordered separately. It measures roughly 16 inches long by 1 inch high. If it is damaged it might make it difficult to open and close the fresh food drawer. Check the support rails in case something is blocking it. It is important to replace a damaged rail to prevent it from damaging the drawer itself. The only tool required for this repair is a Philips screwdriver. Remove the entire upper shelf from the inside of the fridge. Place the assembly on a flat work surface. Remove the screws on the back holding the back rail in place. Next, disengage the tabs holding the old right side rail in place. When installing the new one, line up the slotted opening on the rail to the tabs on the drawer and push it in until it snaps into place. Reinstall the back rail with screws. Check the operation of the drawer and place it back into the refrigerator.
