Replaced lid lock switch that was broken but washer still doesn't drain
do I need to run a full cycle or should it work in the drain spin cycle
For model number gtw335asn0ww
Hi Frank, thank you for your inquiry. The spin cycle works to extract moisture from your clothes at the end of the wash cycle. If the washer does not drain at the end of the wash cycle, an obstructed drain hose is one of the most common reasons. Both kinks and blockages can obstruct the hose, preventing proper draining. A kinked hose can be gently straightened to restore function. You probably just have something stuck in your pump; probably a sock or a coin. Unplug and tilt the washer back, remove the pump screws that hold it on, and pull it down to remove whatever is in the impeller. If there is no obstruction, the pump, part number FIX12723115, is bad and needs to be replaced. If this does not help inspect the drain hose, part number FIX11729495, and control board, part number FIX16743401. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
