This part is found at the back of your refrigerator and supplies the water to both your ice maker and water dispenser. The materials can be worn out over time with regular use and should be replaced. Another area on the valve to inspect is the solenoids, which can be done with multimeter to check for continuity. This is a genuine OEM part that measures approximately 6.5 inches long by 3 inches wide and is made of plastic and metal. To replace this part, you will need access to the back of your fridge. Please ensure that you disconnect the power and water supply before beginning this repair.

When it is energized by electrical power, water is released from the supply line through the water valve and into the compact icemaker mold. ***Please NOTE: This part has been redesigned and may appear different than the original. It has a new quick connection. To install: cut the retaining nut off the existing water line and gently push into new valve. To remove: depress the ring that the tube slides into.
