You can use a multimeter to determine if it is the thermostat or the heater itself that is faulty. If you do need to replace the thermostat, this is a genuine OEM part. As this repair requires some electrical work, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your fridge before starting this project. You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a 1/4-inch nut driver, a flat blade screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, and butt splice connectors in order to complete this repair.
