This genuine OEM filter is found under the lower spray arm in the bottom of your dishwasher. It is used to trap debris and prevent it from entering the pump. If your dishes are not properly cleaned or your dishwasher has trouble draining, there may be an issue with your filter. Regularly cleaning the filter can help prevent these issues but over time the filter can become clogged or damaged and will need to be replaced. The filter is cylindrical in shape, with a gray plastic top and bottom and measures approximately 6 inches in length and 4 inches in diameter. No tools should be required to replace the filter. Simply twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove it and insert the new filter twisting clockwise to lock it in place.
