This is a genuine OEM replacement gasket for your dishwasher, that measures approximately 22 inches long and is made of plastic. It is found at the bottom of the inside panel of your dishwasher door. The purpose of the gasket it to provide a tight seal at the bottom of the dishwasher so that water does not leak out while the appliance is operating. If your dishwasher is leaking, you should inspect the gasket for signs of damage and replace it if worn out. Please note that gaskets for sealing around the tub are sold separately. Basic tools are needed for this repair, including a pair of pliers to help with removal of the old gasket.
