The cover protects the rollers on the dish rack that allow the rack to slide in and out efficiently. The main reason you would need to replace the roller cover is if it is cracked or damaged. This is a replacement interlock cover for your dishwasher. The interlock cover protects the door latch assembly, and prevents some of the smaller more important parts from being damaged or going missing. This part is made of gray plastic and is approximately 3.5 inches by 1.5 inches. To replace the interlock cover, you will have to use a Phillips-head screwdriver to separate the inner door panel from the outer door panel. At this point you can access and replace the interlock cover, which simply snaps in and out of place. This part is sold individually.
