Stopped making ice cubes
Tested water valve by disconnecting power and adding 110VAC to valve to be certain the valve worked before ordering new ice maker. Rather than guessing on the part of the ice maker that was defective I ordered a new ice maker complete for a few doorars more and that fixed the problem.

Ice maker quit working
Turned off power and water, removed 2 screws on the bottom, loosened 2 screws on the top, pulled ice maker out a couple inches so I could disconnect wires, and removed old ice maker. I cut the slot in the back of new ice maker for the water line with pocket knife and installed the new unit. Took less the 30 minutes.

Ice maker was flooding the freezer
After turning off the water to the fridge, I removed the 3 screws holding the icemaker, and unhooked the wire harness. I just reversed the process to reinstall and it took about 20 minutes, and we had a bin full of ice the next day.

The icemaker stopped making ice.
I first removed the door, very easy to do, then removed one screw that held the icemaker in place. I then unplugged the electricity to the frig, slid the unit out and disconnected the electrical harness. Luckily the harness on the new icemaker matched up with the original plugin on the frig so it wasn't necessary to change the wiring on the new part. I simply slid the new icemaker in plugged it in put the retaining screw in, the door on, plugged the frig in and started makinmg ice. Couldn't have been easier.

ice maker kept filling tray, dld not empty
replaced the element as described. it worked for 2 cycles and flooded the capture tray. I thought it may be an issue with the water supply line so I replace it and insured it was getting a good feed.
I have now shut the unit down and restating it . thank you for your concern. Any tips would be appreciated.

Ice maker didn't work
I looked up the model# of my kenmore for repairs and partselect.com came up. I searched for the icemaker, wondering if I was even going to be able to figure it out. I was pleasantly surprise that when I found the part there was also a video on how to do the repair. I watched the video, ordered the part and when it came, the repair was a piece of cake.

leaky ice maker to no ice at all
Parts arrived amazingly fast. Replaced top ice maker and bottom water control valve[which was probably the source of my problem all along] in about an hour. The online installation video's were a big help. Thanks.

Icemaker wouldn't make ice any more.
My husband followed the schematic and went step by step. When he was done, he wasn't sure he had done it right, but in about 20-30 minutes we heard the first ice drop down and it's been working ever since. He's a great handyman!

Not making ice consistantly
Cleared space around the old ice maker. Removed the ice maker and installed the new one. Seeing the video on the computer was a big help. It is a complete assembly. Just take the old one out and put the new one in. Works better than new.

removed 3 screws as per instruction, no problem getting olf one out; putting new one in was a big problem, I finally ended up taking the door off ice storage bin, this gave me an extra 1/2 inch up room to go up, I also used 1.0 inch screws, the 1/2 ones that came with . were too short, I put the screw in 1/4 inch I manuvered the ice maker over the two top screws tightened, and than put the 1/2 screw in the bottom attach hole . the longer screws&removing the door made it easy. van nolf

ice maker not dumping ice often enough to keep up with useage.
Replaced ice maker with new one but found it was not the ice maker at all. There was an accumulation of ice in the duct inhibiting the flow of cld air to the ice maker. I cleared the ic build up in the duct and it has been working just fine. But am concerned about make up water leaking into the duct.
