Upper wash arm spinner had broken off.
These directions are for Whirlpool dishwasher model # DU1055XTVB8. The steps below might be slightly different if you have a different model dishwasher.

1. Turn the electrical power off.

2. Remove both the lower and upper racks from inside the dishwasher. To remove the top one, it is necessary to remove the plastic stops at the end of each track. Push in on the tab on each of these stops and lift them up to remove. The lower rack has no stops and just slides out.

3. Put a towel on the bottom of the dishwasher (to catch any parts that might fall).

4. Remove the Philips screw from the top of the feed tube (the plastic part onto which the spinner attaches).

5. Pull down slightly on the feed tube and remove the plastic fastener (which holds the spinner in place) from the top of the feed tube.

6. Insert a new plastic fastener (with its head up) into the hole of the feed tube. Position the spinner under the feed tube and then snap the spinner and new plastic fastener together.

7. Reinstall the Philips screw into the top of the feed tube.

8. Remove the towel and put the racks back inside the dishwasher.

9. Turn electrical power back on.

Top spinner fell off
I noticed the top spinner in the top tray. It wouldn't stay when I tried to reattach it. I searched around the Internet using the model number of my dishwasher. I ordered the part which arrived in two days. I removed the top tray and gently pried the piece where the spinner attaches away, took the old pin out, snuck the new pin in there and snapped the spinner in. The problem was that the nipple on the pin was worn away. The spinner was fine but I didn't see an option to just buy the pin. The I st ructions I read said to dismantle the whole works, but I sneaked it in without doing any harm. I hope. Dishwasher works fine.

Top spinner broke off
Pin for the top spinner broke off. Watched the video on the website and went to fix dishwasher. Found out that I only needed to remove baskets, cover bottom with a towel so screws didn't fall into unreachable areas, then removed one screw on the top. Removed broken pin and installed new spinner and pin. Less than five minutes from a woman who's never done this before. Felt like a pro!! Your easy to use website to find parts and repair video made it possible. Thanks a million!!!

Guide Wheel Broke That Caused Upper Rack To Fall.
It was a matter of snapping off the broken guide and replacing it with the new one. Simple procedure. I was shocked that it broke in the first place. Sure don't make appliances like they used to.

Dish washer would notstart. No elect power
First turn off power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker! Check the door panel screws they were star screws which I was able to remove with an allen wrench(more difficult). Follow the instruction included in the Fuse package. Follow and understand each step before doing the task and it will go smoothly.

The top spinner fell off and would not snap back on
Bought a replacement spinner which came with the litte round connector piece. The connector piece had worn down (the spinner probably got caught on a tall glass or pot). Anyway, for ease of access, you remove the bottom and top racks, unscrew two screws (one on the top and one on the back of the dishwasher that holds the water piping). Then pull the water piping assembly down from the top until you can remove the round connecting piece. The tip of mine was worn off which is why the spinner would not stay on. Once you replace the round connector piece, snap the spinner into it, put the screws back in and you are done. Very easy fix for about $22 including S&H.

Top Spinner fell off during wash cycle
Read comments on-line here. Then removed both drawers, removed one screw from top filler tube. Gently pulled tube down just enough to remove small "button", after first putting a cloth over entire bottom of dishwasher to catch it if it, or screw, fell. Button goes in "pointy side" down. Squeezed new spinner onto button until it "popped" on. Replaced top screw, drawers and ran a load. Worked perfectly. Button was worn out. Would be nice if only button could be purchased.

Kitchenaid Dishwasher Wouldn't Turn On
Replaced latch switch with parts-select whirlpool (usa) model (good choice) and unit still wouldn't turn on. I then turned 115 vac power off to unit for 1 minute and then back on and unit worked correctly with no additional problems. .

dishwasher stopped working in the sanitize wash cycle
I tried to reset the breaker but still no function, I removed the door panel and the control panel , I located the thermal fuse located under the white cover that protects the main board, I turned off the breaker and checked the fuse for continuity using my multimeter, I found the fuse was showing being open, or blown, I removed the fuse and inspected the contacts and the main board, l replaced the fuse and followed the instructions that came with the fuse kit, I then reset the breaker , I had washer function but it wouldn't operate properly, bad control board, a lemon.

The spindle is made of plastic and wears out quickly.
1. Place a towel in the bottom of the dishwasher to keep anything from falling in the drain. 2. Release the clamping bracket on each side of the water line that the spinner kit is attached to, so you can pull it down a little to get the old spindle out of the hole. 3. Take the old spindle out. 4. Put the new spindle in. 5. Push the spinner wheel onto the new spindle until it you hear it snap into place. 6. Push the water line back into the bracket until you hear it snap into place. 7. Tug on the spinner slightly to make sure it is secure. 8. Done.
