The washer makes a humming noise and will no longer agitate. The silver basin spindle was replaced less than a month ago. Do you think this is the clutch now that’s bad?

Thank you for your question. If you are hearing a grinding noise when the washer is agitating, then you may have a worn or damaged bearing and you will need to replace the gearcase, part number FIX12741641. We hope this helps!
