no heat
Cost was $114.00 to replace all parts , It took longer to take apart & test everything than it did to do the repair ! I tested all parts twice , everything would test fine , I put it all back together and the dryer worked for 5 minutes , did that twice and decided to order all the parts an be done with it . Ordered the parts , that showed up at my door in 2 days !!! Turned OFF gas , took off vent hose , took back off with 8 screws , popped up top in the front , took 2 screws off the top in the back removing the brackets , Inside the front under the top removed 2 screws holding on the front , lifted the front and removed . All parts only have 1 or 2 screws holding them in place , removed 1 part at a time , removing and replacing 1 wire from old part to the new part so I did not mix up the wires , replace the part and go to the next part . It was pretty self explanatory replacing the parts , It took 20 minutes to take apart , replace the parts and put back together so my loving wife could do laundry again. You don't realize what a inconvenience it is to go without a dryer for 3 days when you have had one for 37 yrs ..... THANK YOU , 3 days can seem like forever when someone is not happy , but it was much much better than waiting 7 to 10 days for the wrong parts from somewhere else . You have the BEST parts website that I have EVER used !!! THANK YOU AGAIN , Donald

Grinding , drum flopping , .....Noise !
I won't go into all the details of the repairs .....The videos this company provides are A+++.. Some would say I would have been better off purchasing a New dryer ...LOL if I had to use a appliance repair man for this job ...Probably ...but ...using this site certified parts , and using the easy to follow instruction videos ....It was truly a very easy repair . I spent more time getting everything perfectly clean inside the dryer housing ,and letting the high temp adhesive cure than I did actually installing the parts.I can't recommend this company or the parts more ...Just take your time with removal , cleaning , and installation ....Patience !Excellent ...parts quality , shipping speed , and video installation instructions !!!! My dryer now works and SOUNDS like a new dryer ....Thank you !

Clogged vent led to blown fuse
Third time's the charm. Had this repair down to about 30-40 mins or less on third try. Fuse blew, I watched how-to videos online and made the replacement. First time through, I took my time and it took a while. Fuse blew again. Local repair shop told me that 90% of fuses blown in dryers are caused by blocked vents. They also said they usually change the fuse and the thermostat at the same time. I changed the fuse again and, this time also the thermostat (really easy since it's right up front in the machine), then ran the dryer through a few cycles with the duct disconnected in back. That was a dusty thing to do, but the dryer ran perfectly and it confirmed that the problem was likely a blockage. Called a company to clear out the vent - and, sure enough, it was clogged. Since then everything's worked perfectly. Dryer air output is noticeably stronger and load cycling time is reduced as well.

The Cold water inlet was down to a trickle
The other given instructions are good, except I would add 2 more things to do. Also the valve comes with written instructions, but they are somewhat incomplete. 1. before disassembly & removal look at the valve assembly and note its orientation. Inlet valve at the top. Make sure your hot and cold hoses are correctly identified and I marked the hot and cold inlet, BEFORE I removed the hoses. You don't want to get them mixed up. 2. even more important note the color coded wires that attach to the top and bottom contacts. I marked the valve assembly with the 1st letter of the color of the wire that is attached to each contact. My Maytag is over 30 years old & this is the 1st problem that I had with it. The new valve works perfectly.

Dryer ran but did not dry clothing.
Best site I have ever used for repairs. First a list of what parts were needed was provided right from the start, no guessing. I followed all of the video's provided for installation instructions and and that was it. Very easy to make repairs and almost rebuilt my dated dryer to like new condition. Appliance was in very good physical condition just needed new components to bring it back. Highly recommend this site to anyone who can turn a wrench.

I accidentally broke the door switch when I was taking the door off
I popped the top of the dryer off by sticking a flathead screwdriver in where the clamps hold it in place, then I used a socket wrench to unscrew the door. I couldn't figure out how to get the switch off without taking it apart (should have left it connected, would have saved me some trouble). I took a picture of where the wires were connected. When I got the new switch, I removed the nodes from the wires by using an eyeglasses screwdriver to release the clip holding it in place under the plastic. One of the wires' covers was too small to fit on the new switch, so I stripped the wire carefully and replaced the end with the one provided. The fit wasn't very good, so I'll probably have to put some electrical tape on it at some point. Then I reattached everything and voila, dryer turns on :)
