The Cold water inlet was down to a trickle
The other given instructions are good, except I would add 2 more things to do. Also the valve comes with written instructions, but they are somewhat incomplete. 1. before disassembly & removal look at the valve assembly and note its orientation. Inlet valve at the top. Make sure your hot and cold hoses are correctly identified and I marked the hot and cold inlet, BEFORE I removed the hoses. You don't want to get them mixed up. 2. even more important note the color coded wires that attach to the top and bottom contacts. I marked the valve assembly with the 1st letter of the color of the wire that is attached to each contact. My Maytag is over 30 years old & this is the 1st problem that I had with it. The new valve works perfectly. Read more...

Fix Number
FIX11742505
Manufacturer Part Number
WP4391960
This heating element is a genuine OEM replacement part for your electric dryer. This element carries 5200W and 240V. A controlled electrical current passes through the coils, and the heat that is produced is then used to dry your laundry. If your dryer is running but not producing heat, there may be an issue with the element. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your dryer. You will need to pull the dryer out far enough to easily access the back panel in order to complete this repair. Please note that they part does not include the two terminals and two adapter leads, these parts must be purchased separately.

Loud Squealling While Drying
Take time to examine your machine before ordering parts, I did not need to expensive roller wheel kits , I needed two washers for the roller wheels. I pulled it apart and used the snap ring pliers to pull the roller wheels off,put the washer behind the wheel , I added a dab of hi temp grease to inside of roller and shaft. Put it back together. Quite as a new one. . The rest of the parts are straight forward . . Good luck Read more...

Grinding , drum flopping , .....Noise !
I won't go into all the details of the repairs .....The videos this company provides are A+++.. Some would say I would have been better off purchasing a New dryer ...LOL if I had to use a appliance repair man for this job ...Probably ...but ...using this site certified parts , and using the easy to follow instruction videos ....It was truly a very easy repair . I spent more time getting everything perfectly clean inside the dryer housing ,and letting the high temp adhesive cure than I did actually installing the parts.I can't recommend this company or the parts more ...Just take your time with removal , cleaning , and installation ....Patience !Excellent ...parts quality , shipping speed , and video installation instructions !!!! My dryer now works and SOUNDS like a new dryer ....Thank you ! Read more...

noticed water was leaking in front of washer-right before we were leaving for vacation
Upon returning from vacation, we needed to do laundry-so I put some plastic under the washer and we did a load. The water was leaking from the seam between the lid and the back panel on the side with the hot and cold water connections- not the front. I removed two screws from the front bottom panel and two screws from the underside of the lid.Turning the washer on showed the leak was coming from the injection valve( it was brittle from age). The rubber injection valve was replaced and installed( using a little liquid soap to help the rubber hose to slip over the rubber injection valve) with a new clamp. The leak was fixed. Read more...

Washer leaked drips came out of the back where hoses connect and from the bottom.
I removed the front and top of the washer. (Thanks for the great videos,!) Injector valve was leaking out the perforated sheath, so I ordered a new one. That did not fix my leak! New one leaked at the same spot. So I went searching on forums and the consensus is that is an unnecessary part. I then removed it and replaced it with a 3/4" pipe. That fixed the problem; but on running a load through I discovered that the tub gasket was leaking on the spin cycle. Sad ending to this story, I decided to scrap the old Maytag. It was 40 years old and paid for itself many times over. Read more...
