Lights are really dim in the fridge but not on at all in the freezer. Will replacing the LED control board fix this issue?

Hello Tony, thank you for your question. The Main Led Light Control Board PS11755867 is located on the ceiling of the refrigerator. There are also, two Led lights on each of the rear panels of the refrigerator and freezer sections which are both part PS11755866. If either of the Led lights on the rear panels short out, this will cause the Main Led Control Board to not work correctly or at all. Thank you for your question. To verify if the door/light switch is working correctly, you will need to test it for continuity with a multimeter. Before testing the switch, please unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Then you will need to remove the switch from the refrigerator to test it. Set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting and place the probes on the switch’s terminals. The multimeter reading should change from infinity to a reading of zero. Keep the leads touching the terminals and press in on the switch. The reading should change back to infinity. If the results you receive are not consistent with these results, you need a replacement door switch. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. Hello Stanley, thank you for your question. The Light Switch PS11738900 could be the problem, but the most likely issue is the LED light control board. This board controls both the fridge and freezer lights. You can remove the switch and check to be sure the wires are tight, and replace the switch first if you'd like, and if that doesn't fix the problem, the LED board PS11755867 would have to be replaced. Lights in the refrigerator and freezer are flashing really fast, like your in a Disco. According to a appliance guy, he said it sounds like the computer board. Thank you for any help !!!

Hello Mark, We are glad you asked! First I would suggest unplugging the fridge for about 10 minutes then plugging it back in. This may reset the appliance and fix the issue. If the flashing continues the replacement LED light assembly FIX11755867 in the fridge holds the controls for all the LED light assemblies in the unit. Replacing the LED light assembly in the fridge section would be the first part I would try to fix the issue. We are pleased to have been able to help.
