Hi Tara, thank you for reaching out. If the refrigerator filter door will not close, the most likely cause is an improperly seated water filter or a damaged filter housing/door mechanism. Remove and reinstall the filter, making sure it is fully engaged and not preventing the door from latching. If the door remains unable to close or the housing/door is cracked or distorted, replacing the water filter housing, part number W10862460, can help restore proper filter-door operation. We hope this solves your problem!
Simply pulled out old drawer and replaced with new one. This broken drawer really bothered my wife so this simple repair earned me alot of points at home.
