The 151281-08 Pad is used to hold 5 inch Hook and Loop sandpaper with 8 vacuum holes. Over the past few years the popularity of Hook and Loop paper has grown because of the ease of changing sandpaper when needed. Over that of the PSA (Pressure Sensitive Sandpaper) Applying too much pressure on the sander may cause premature wear on the Hook and Loop pad. When a pad needs to be replaced, simply remove the three screws that hold the pad to the sander, then replace it with a new pad.

This authentic OEM dust bag assembly is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in sanders. It consists of a fabric bag and plastic cap measuring approximately 5.5 inches in length and 2.5 inches in diameter. The bag assembly collects the dust and debris that is produced during sanding allowing you to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Over time the bag may tear or wear down, leading to large amounts of dust escaping into the air, health hazards from dust inhalation, reduction in visibility, and a messy work area. Replacing the dust bag assembly is a simple repair that does not require the use of specialized tools. Simply detach the bag from the sander, remove any dust and debris on the mounting surface, and attach the new bag.

This part includes one on-off switch, also referred to as a rocker switch. This switch is an original manufacturer replacement part. The switch controls the flow of electricity to the motor, and when it wears it can make it impossible to start the power tool. Switches are a common replacement part for power tools, so it is something that should be inspected as part of your regular maintenance. This black switch has two terminals and a compact design for an uncomplicated installation process. To confirm that the switch is damaged, you can test it for continuity using a multimeter.

This is a brush and spring for your power tools. This brush is sold individually, and two are needed for most power tools. We recommend replacing both brushes together for an even wear. When your brush wears down it will greatly affect your motor function by reducing the power and electric braking. When making this repair we recommend inspecting the armature for cracks or visible damage that would mean other motor problems. Carbon brushes are the most commonly replaced power tool part. This part is meant to wear out over time through the constant contact.

This part includes one carbon brush with a wire lead and brush spring attached. A poorly running motor is often due to worn brushes, which is why they are such a common repair in power tools. Due to the constant friction they are under, they will wear over time, and will need to be replaced. If upon inspection you notice the carbon brush is burnt or otherwise damaged, you will also want to check the condition of the armature, as this might suggest a larger problem with the motor.

This is an OEM sander pad and backing plate for a sander. It is most commonly replaced due to sudden uneven sanding or difficulty keeping the sandpaper properly attached. This part includes a steel plate with a foam pad fixed to it. The foam pad gives grip for the sandpaper to adhere firmly within the clamps. This foam material is prone to deteriorate over time, causing irregular sanding. If the pad is so worn that the metal plate is making contact with the paper, the sander will start to jump around. This is a very quick and easy repair. Simply remove the four screws holding the old pad in place, line up the the holes of the pad with the holes in the plate, and tighten the four screws back up (screws sold separately).
