Housing Assembly

This is the housing assembly for an impact driver. This plastic casing includes the right and left side, is yellow and black in color, and has the DeWalt logo on the side. The housing is what protects in inner components of the tool. If the housing has become worn, cracked, or damaged, this is the OEM replacement part needed to fix it. For this simple repair, you will need to remove the screws holding the old housing assembly in place (screws sold separately) and remove everything out of the old case and transfer them to the new case.

Steel Ball

The steel ball is part of the bit holder in an impact driver and is sold individually. The driver bit is held securely by the ball, which fits into the spindle. The ball is attached to the spindle by the collar. Over time, the collar can come loose, and the ball could get lost. The ball itself can sometimes wear, causing the driver to become loose rather easily. To access this part, you will need to remove the hog ring, which fits into a groove on the anvil. When removing this part, be careful not to misplace parts, as there is a spring behind the hog ring, which will become loose. This will allow you to remove the collar and steel ball. Remove the ball using a magnet, to keep it contained.

Carbon Brush With Spring

This is a brush and spring for your power tools. This brush is sold individually, and two are needed for most power tools. We recommend replacing both brushes together for an even wear. When your brush wears down it will greatly affect your motor function by reducing the power and electric braking. Hog Ring

Plain Washer
