Drum in dryer of balance one wheel of axis
First need a third hand then a 5/8 wrench last but not least a clean floor your going to be on your back .Remove duct and cover from back of dryer luckily only one wheel to replace and right by cover only one bolt to remove

bearings on drum roller seized causing drum not to turn
Basically removed top sheet metal to dryer and front sheet metal after removing door, disconnected lint chute, relieved tension on the belt and lifted drum out of dryer, removed all four drum roller with adjustable wrench and socket. Reassembled in reverse order took right at an hour but I took my time, I am sure an experienced profession al could have done in 30 minutes or less.

My dryer was making a funny sound. It sounded like as the drum rotated an unusual noise was being caused by something.
I could not find a video for my type of dryer on you-tube. There were numerous videos on dryer types with the control panel on the back top of dryer. Mine has the control panel on the front on top. I had to wing it and removed the top. The control panel was the difficult part to remove as it had little plastic snaps which were hard to dis engage. There were also screws on the top of control panel under the top cover that I removed. Then I removed the door, the front cover and I disconnected an electrical connection on this cover. Iremoved the drum support cover and another electrical connection. I removed the frame screws on top left and right, so that I could get the drum out. Then was able to use the you-tube videos and pulled the drum out and belt. I could then see that the drum support roller, which is basiclly a wheel on an axle and this supports the drum as it spins, was bad. It was very noticable with wobbly worn out bearings. My machine is about 4 years old I think. It is a Maytag, Neptune model. I have them stacked with the Washer and dryer on top. I could not find another dryer similar which would fit on top of my washer and I didn't want to replace them both. So it was benificial for me try to repair this. I ordered two rollers assy's and replaced both the front and back rollers, located on the bottom. There are four total rollers but the other two are on the side of the drum so they dont support as much of the weight. This was probably caused by overloading the dryer or putting wet, heavy, bedspreads in it. I had alot of pieces removed and cleaned and inspected each piece. After pricing the belt which I was going to replace also ($50.00) I decided after I got the price I would reuse the old one because it looked good. I did put all the screws and parts in sandwhich bags and labeled them so I could try to remember where they went. Inside of dryer was very dirty with alot of dust and lint so I vacummed it out very good. Thank goodness this site had the replacement parts. They were about 25.00 each for the roller assy's. I replaced two however only one was worn. I think this was on Dec.29th or 30th and I called and had them expidite the shipping which was well worth it, because I received them on Dec. 31st (New Years eve) and put it all back together in two hours and was able to celebrate that evening. Everthing sounds and runs fine. Rather proud of myself.
