The washer made a strange noise and wouldn't drain water from the tub
1.) Unplug the washer and slide the unit away from the wall
2.) Using a 1/4" nut driver remove the 4 screws holding the access cover in place and remove the cover
3.) Using a 1/4" nut driver remove the two screws in the plate holding the drain hose up and remove the plate
4.) Remove the drain hose from the drain connection in the wall and lower the hose into a bucket or pan and completely drain washer
5.) Using either a flat tip screwdriver or a 5/16" nut driver loosen the hose clamp on the tub side of the flexible drain hose and the hose clamp at the base of the drain hose that goes to the wall drain
6.) Remove the plastic drain hose that goes to the wall and the tub drain hose from the washer tub
7.) Twist the drain pump ccw approx 45 degrees and gently lift it up. Pull the pump closer to the opening and carefully remove the plastic bag covering the electrical connections without tearing the ears off the bag (the new pump does not come with a replacement bag).
8.) Unplug the two electrical connections from the pump and pull the pump out of the washing machine
9.) Using a pair of pliers, squeeze the tabs together on each of the remaining hose clamps to remove the tub drain hose from the pump and the short drain sensor hose on top of the pump
10.) Using pliers carefully squeeze the plastic tab on the back of the pump sensor to remove the sensor from the bracket
11.) Assemble the new pump with the sensor and the tub drain hose
12.) Install the new pump assembly in reverse order of the removal procedure

Ensure all connections are tight and run washer thru a rinse cycle to discover and address any potential leaks

water did not drain
r&r water pump the rubber flow valve broke off and lodged in drain line works great now

Washer would not drain
Our septic system was having trouble draining so the washers motor burned out trying to pump the water with nowhere to go. I looked at and followed the video and other peoples comments and things were going great UNTIL I got to the part where I had to unplug the wires connected to the pump. The connecter was melted to the point of it bein g unusable so I had to snip the wires and I bought metal wire termination clips with plastic covers and stripped the wires and put the 2 white ones together and the red one alone just as it was on the connector and VIOLA worked out great. I really appreciate this site and it helped me tackle this issue and save a good amount of money.

Bellows torn and pump not draining
Watched video on front load washer(not combo) pump was as shown bellows was a bit more difficult as I did not have the top clearence as shown in video. I had to pull the drum fwd and place a wedge in behind the drum to give me clearance to install the spring to the wire as shown in that video(that took along time and a few words before I came to that ideal as described.)
