This part is an OEM from Craftsman for use with Chainsaws. The recoil starter hub spring fits between and connects the starter hub and pulley, and applies tension to turn the starter. The most common reasons for replacing the spring start is if the starter rope won't recoil or rewind after pulling or the starter rope won't retract fully back into the housing. This part is sold individually.
