Bake element replacement

1. Turn of over power at the breaker.
2. Remove bake element cover. There's 2 quarter inch nuts.
3. Disconnect old element. For me there was not much play in the wires so when I disconnected the old element I lost the wire in the insulation. If this happened you can remove the central plate cover on the back of the oven and you can easily find the wires again.
4. Connect the replacement element.
5. Screw the bake element cover back in.

If your drawers are difficult to open and close, or the cover has any visible signs of damage, it should be replaced so that your crispers continue to function as intended. This is an easy repair that does not require any tools. Simply remove the crisper drawers, then lift out the cover. Place the new cover in the fridge, and reinstall the crisper drawers. Retainer Bar End Cap - Left or Right Side

The end cap is used to hold the retainer bar on the fridge door in place. This genuine OEM part is made of white plastic and can be used for either the left or righthand side of the bar. The retainer bar keeps items from falling off the shelf when the fridge door is open and closed. If an end cap has become damaged, the retainer bar may not stay in place properly. The end caps are sold individually, so if you need to replace more than one, please be sure to order the correct quantity. To replace an end cap, you will need a small flat blade screwdriver to release the locking tabs.

The ice maker assembly makes ice by filling the tray with water from the inlet valve, freezing it until solid cubes are formed, and then ejecting them into the ice bucket. This process will repeat until the bucket has reached capacity. If your fridge is no longer making ice, the assembly may need to be replaced. This is a genuine OEM replacement that measures 10 inches by 5 inches in size and will make seven crescent shaped pieces of ice each cycle. The kit is mainly made of white plastic, and includes a 4-pin round plug-in connector, a 6-post plug-in connector, tube, and fill cup. Depending on your frequency of use, the ice maker may need to be replaced every three to ten years. Regular wear and tear is the main reason this part may need to be replaced but be mindful of accidental damage.

Refrigerator Not Cooling

1) Run Capacitor. Disconnected electrical power plug from the wall socket. Located the Run Capacitor in bottom rear of refrigerator, disconnected the retainer spring, pulled the wasted run capacitor off and plugged the new one into the slot and replaced the retainer spring. 2) Motor AC/DC Evaporator Fan. Opened top freezer door. Removed the shelving by carefully sliding the shelving pins upward and into the recessed slots for easy removal. Used Phillip's head screw driver to remove two screws holding the face guard in place and the 6" Crescent wrench to remove the bracket holding the fan motor to the bracket and the Phillip's head screw driver to remove two screws holding the bracket to the inside rear of the freezer. Unplugged the wasted motor AC/DC Evaporator Fan and plugged the new one into its place. Reinstalled all hardware as it came out. Refrigerator is now working like new. Simple and easy project saved me $100s of dollars fro having to purchase a new Refrigerator. My significant other was happy that it worked so well and saved $$. Cockroaches getting into the refrigerator

I used hot water from the tab (it gets really hot) to heat the gasket so it would be flexible and easier to install. I inserted the 'zipper' part of the gasket into the groove in the ref. door and slide the gasket around the door. It was quick and easy. The light switch in your refrigerator is used to turn the light on and off when the fridge door opens or closes. This is considered a closed switch, which means that when the fridge door depresses the button there is no continuity and the light turns off. When the fridge door opens and the button is released, there is continuity, and the light turns on. If the light in your fridge is not burned out but will not come on, the switch may need to be replaced. This genuine OEM replacement light switch is spring loaded and made of a white plastic. This is an easy repair that will require a flat blade screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers to complete the job. Since you will be working with electrical components, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your fridge before beginning this repair.

Followed the video with no problems, but the door would not close. There is a rubber bumper that the light switch strikes, This bumper was not horizontal, and just had to be twisted to a horizontal position. The door then closed tightly, Total repair time was about 5 minutes! Read more...
