Ice maker stopped making ice
Super easy. Loosen 2 screws. Disconnect power line. Take out broken part and plug in new part then slide icemaker back in place and tighten 2 screws. Saved me the $89 service call plus whatever they would have overcharged for the part! And no waiting around for repair guy!

Door would not close after insatallation
Followed the video with no problems, but the door would not close. There is a rubber bumper that the light switch strikes, This bumper was not horizontal, and just had to be twisted to a horizontal position. The door then closed tightly, Total repair time was about 5 minutes!

Refrigerator Not Cooling
1) Run Capacitor. Disconnected electrical power plug from the wall socket. Located the Run Capacitor in bottom rear of refrigerator, disconnected the retainer spring, pulled the wasted run capacitor off and plugged the new one into the slot and replaced the retainer spring. 2) Motor AC/DC Evaporator Fan. Opened top freezer door. Removed the shelving by carefully sliding the shelving pins upward and into the recessed slots for easy removal. Used Phillip's head screw driver to remove two screws holding the face guard in place and the 6" Crescent wrench to remove the bracket holding the fan motor to the bracket and the Phillip's head screw driver to remove two screws holding the bracket to the inside rear of the freezer. Unplugged the wasted motor AC/DC Evaporator Fan and plugged the new one into its place. Reinstalled all hardware as it came out. Refrigerator is now working like new. Simple and easy project saved me $100s of dollars fro having to purchase a new Refrigerator. My significant other was happy that it worked so well and saved $$. She was happy and went to Walmart shopping with the savings and brought me a pizza home. Everyone was a winner. Paul and Kimberly Juliana

Needed to replace freezer gasket.
The old gasket peeled off starting at the upper right corner. There was no need to unscrew anything as the metal track remained in place. The new gasket just had to be snapped into the existing track. The hard part if if you haven't the strength in your thumbs to press the gasket with enough pressure to snap it in. I don't have the strength so I used a pistol clamp. That worked and the gasket is on and working/

plastic tubing split, caused water leak
Note: That this repair was done on the old design with the threaded connections on the inlet water valve. The replacement valve has compression fittings. 5/16 water line gave up at the water inlet valve. First fixed 2yrs ago. was able to cut off enough damaged line and pull out the slack and got it back in and socked it down no leaks. 2nd leak this time same brittle old line gave up again. Replaced the 5/16 line. from inlet valve. I cut the head off a bolt that barely fit in both old and new tube ends. Removed tube guide inside behind bottom bin and pulled old line until new line showed up spliced in union. Did have to remove inlet water valve this time to assure good connection. Because you can't buy a new 5/16 nut for that valve you have to make the old one work or you might be forced to buy a new inlet valve too. At which point the 1/4 ice line gave up. Repeated fix #1 on 1/4 line. reinstalled no leaks. Should have just done them both at same time. Did just order 1/4 line, 1/4 nut and fill tube grommet.
