This OEM kit comes with two ignition coils (one three-terminal boost/hold coil, and one two-terminal secondary coil). Usually only one of them burns out, but you should replace them as a set as both have to be operational for the gas valve to open. The primary purpose of the part is to open the gas valve and allow the gas to enter the burner. This is a safety mechanism to make sure that there is never an unsafe buildup of gas inside the appliance. You will find the coils attached to the dryer gas valve. This is not an uncommon repair; it can fail due to normal material fatigue over time. To test your current parts, watch the burner, and if the igniter glows for a while and then shuts off without the gas is igniting, it usually means one of these coils is bad.

Meant as a backup to a high limit thermostat, this fuse is typically set to trip at a higher temperature than that of a high limit thermostat. This is a one-time use fuse, so when it does trip, you do need to replace it. It's letting you know that something is wrong with your dryer.

Clogged vent led to blown fuse
Third time's the charm. Had this repair down to about 30-40 mins or less on third try. Fuse blew, I watched how-to videos online and made the replacement. First time through, I took my time and it took a while. Fuse blew again. Local repair shop told me that 90% of fuses blown in dryers are caused by blocked vents. They also said they usually change the fuse and the thermostat at the same time. I changed the fuse again and, this time also the thermostat (really easy since it's right up front in the machine), then ran the dryer through a few cycles with the duct disconnected in back. That was a dusty thing to do, but the dryer ran perfectly and it confirmed that the problem was likely a blockage. Called a company to clear out the vent - and, sure enough, it was clogged. Since then everything's worked perfectly. Dryer air output is noticeably stronger and load cycling time is reduced as well. Read more...

If your dryer is not tumbling, takes a long time to dry, or is noisy while tumbling, it may be time to replace the drum support rollers. These hold the drum in place while it rotates, so if they have become worn it can make for a lot of noise while the machine is operating. This genuine OEM part is sold individually, however your dryer will have two support rollers. As they tend to wear at the same rate, we suggest replacing both at the same time. The tools needed to complete this repair include a putty knife, 5/16 nut driver, and a pair of pliers. Completing this repair requires removing the drum from the dryer to access the support rollers. Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before beginning this repair.

This genuine OEM part is a radiant flame sensor for your gas dryer. It is used to determine when the temperature of the igniter is hot enough to ignite the gas. Once the igniter is hot enough, it allows the valve to open to release the gas. This acts as a safety mechanism which prevents dangerous levels of gas from building up. If your dryer will not start, is not producing enough heat, not heating up at all, is taking too long to dry laundry, or is shutting off too soon, you may need to replace the radiant flame sensor. Please be sure to disconnect the power and gas supply to your dryer before beginning this repair.

Oor dryer would not get hot.
I opened the bottom section and watched as the igniter got red hot as it should but the gas valve did not open. I wired around the sensor and the gas valve opened and the fuel ignited. VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT RUN YOUR DRYER IN THIS STATE: IT WILL BLOW UP!! I did a VERY short test, then ordered the new sensor. Just one screw holds the sensor (as shown in the Parts video). I watched several videos on how to replace the latch, but my latch was broken on one side so I took a pair of pliers and a screwdriver and pried the old one out. Some would say I would have been better off purchasing a New dryer ...LOL if I had to use a appliance repair man for this job ...Probably ...but ...using this site certified parts , and using the easy to follow instruction videos ....It was truly a very easy repair . The multi rib belt, which may also be called a dryer drum belt or a multi-v belt, helps to rotate the drum of the dryer. The belt wraps completely around the drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. As the motor spins it pulls the belt which in turns causes the drum to rotate. If the dryer is making a screeching noise while running, gives off a burning smell, or you can hear the motor running but the drum is not tumbling, it is likely time to replace the belt. If the belt is snapped or has been stretched out it will not be able to grip to the drum to spin it. Replacing the drum requires use of a putty knife and nut driver. This is a genuine OEM part that measures 93-3/8 inches in length and 3/8 of an inch wide. It is made of durable black rubber, is flat on one side with has five ridges on the other. The ridged side is what lays against the drum to provide the grip for tumbling. Please remember to disconnect your power supply to the appliance before beginning your repair.
