This is a single rack track stop clip used to prevent the upper dish rack from sliding all the way out of the dishwasher. It is made of gray plastic and can wear with time. This is an easy repair that should not take very long to complete. Start by opening the dishwasher door, depress the tabs to remove both the front stop clips and remove the upper dish rack from the appliance. Now, using your small flat head screwdriver, release the retaining tab to remove the rear stop track that you are replacing, and pull the clip up to remove it. Install the new clip by inserting it into the support rail from the top and press it down to secure it in place.

This is a manufacturer-approved heating element and 2 washers. If the dishes in your dishwasher are not drying or the water in the dishwasher is not getting hot, it may be due to a failed heating element. The heating element is not intended to heat the water that enters the appliance but is designed to maintain the heat of the water that enters. This part is located on the bottom of the appliance. Be sure to disconnect the power to the appliance before you begin this repair. Start this repair by disconnecting the wires from the bottom of the element in the back, remove the plastic nuts holding it in place, remove the element, and repeat these steps in reverse order to install the new part. For this beginner repair, you will need a screwdriver, wrench set, and it should be completed in less than 30 minutes.

The mounting bracket is used to secure the top part of your dishwasher to the underside of your counter or cabinet. If you have solid surface counters (granite, quartz, etc.) you will likely need to side mount your appliance, and this type of bracket is sold separately. It is important to properly secure your dishwasher, as it helps to keep it level, and prevents it from moving, shaking, or tilting forwards. This is an authentic OEM part, made entirely of metal, and approximately 3 inches in length. These mounting brackets are sold individually, however most dishwashers require at least two brackets to secure the appliance to the countertop. It is recommended to check and replace all brackets at the same time, as they tend to wear at the same rate. Attaching the mounting bracket to the top of the dishwasher is simple, and just requires a pair of needle nose pliers to bend the tabs into place. When it comes time to attach your dishwasher to the countertop, please note that you will need screws (sold separately), a screwdriver, and if this is the first time the brackets are being attached, you will also need to use a drill bit to make pilot holes for the screws.

Mounting bracket broken. Upper rack wheel broken.
Upper Rack Wheel Assembly - This is a little time consuming (maybe 15 minutes), but easy. You will need to remove the entire upper rack assembly before replacing the wheels. After you remove rack assembly and the dishwasher from under the cabinet (see guidance below for brackets), you will see two hex head sheet metal screws with integral washers on the outside of the dishwasher holding the wheel assembly onto the dishwasher. Use the pliers to remove the screws and the old wheel assembly. Install the new wheel and mount assembly using the old screws since the wheel assembly doesn't come with the mounting screws. Mounting Bracket - Pretty easy. Remove port cover for both left & right mounting screws on inside of dishwasher. Remove the screws (if they haven't already fallen out). Careful - they will drop to the floor. Pull the dishwasher partially out from under the counter. Remove the old bracket(s) and install the new one(s). You will need pliers to bend the tabs over to secure them. For the Kenmore, you need to break off the longer end. Slide the dishwasher back under the counter and align the screw holes with the cabinet. I use masking tape to hold the screw on the screwdriver so it doesn't fall off when inserting into the screw hole in the cabinet. Use the flashlight to help see that the holes are aligned. Tighten the screw and you're done. Read more...

The friction sleeve, sometimes called a friction pad, is made of a flexible black plastic and measures a bit over one inch in length. It is designed to reduce the friction between the hinge and the door on your dishwasher, and helps keep it quiet when the door opens and closes. If the door to your dishwasher drops quickly when unlatched, you may need a new friction sleeve. The sleeve is sold individually however there is one located on both the left and right side of the dishwasher. We recommend replacing them at the same time so that they wear evenly. Replacing this genuine OEM part is an easy repair, but it will require you to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter.

Water leaking in from under unit
Turn the supply water off to the unit usually under the sink. If under cabinet model, usually there are 2 crews just under the counter top holding the unit in place remove these. Slide the unit out if possible for easy access to underside. Remove lower front panel (just under the door) by turning 2 plastic screws 1/4 turn. Use something stable to slightly prop up the unit such as a gallon paint can. The valve will usually be located in front left hand side. Mine was blue in color. Using a adjustable wrench remove the water supply line to the valve. Be sure to have a towel handy as there will be some water left in the line. Using pliers, compress the spring type clamp on the line that feeds from the valve to the unit and slide it back/away from the valve, then pull the hose from the valve. The valve itself will be mounted to the unit just behind a metal bracket and will have one "Phillips type"/ cross point screw in it, remove that screw and slide/wiggle the valve out. Replace it with new valve and reverse the procedures. Just don't over-tighten the inlet water line or you may damage it's sealing ability and cause a leak. Usually 1/4 turn past hand tight will do it. Turn on the water and check for leaks, a flashlight comes in handy. Then simply slide the unit back into place and replace the 2 cabinet screws. You are done! Read more...

If the top rack of your dishwasher is no long sliding in and out smoothly, you may need to replace one of the wheels. This genuine OEM parts assembly includes the wheel, the mount, the axel, and the clip. They are sold individually, and most dishwasher top racks have four wheel-mounts in total. If you need to replace more than one wheel, be sure to add the correct quantity to your cart. Replacing these are an easy repair and does not require any tools, simply pop off the broken wheel mount and snap the new one into place.

This is a genuine OEM replacement rack adjuster for your dishwasher. If this part is damaged, broken, or missing it may cause issues using the top rack properly. To replace this part, first remove the top rack from your dishwasher, by removing the rack stop clips from the ends of the rails. To release the tabs, you can either use your fingers or a flat blade screwdriver to depress the locking tabs. Once the top rack has been removed and placed on a suitable work surface, the defective rack adjuster can be removed, once again using either your fingers or screwdriver to disengage the tabs. The new rack adjuster can then be snapped into place.

If there is still water left in your dishwasher after it has finished running, there may be an issue with your drain pump. The pump is designed to remove water from the tub, and if that is not happening then it could be due to damaged that is causing the motor not to run or a crack causing a leak. If a new pump is required, this is a genuine OEM replacement part. Completing this repair will be easiest if you pull the dishwasher out from under the cabinet. You will need to disconnect both the water and electrical supply to the appliance before starting.

This genuine OEM upper spray arm mount is used to hold the spray arm to the top rack in your dishwasher. This part is made of plastic and has been redesigned by the manufactured so it may look different than the part you are replacing. This new version no longer needs to be screwed onto the top rack, it simply clips into place. To do this repair, you will need to remove the rack from the dishwasher by removing the rail stop clips. Once the top rack is on a suitable work surface, you will need a Philips screwdriver in order to remove the spray arm and the old, damaged mounting bracket. Once the new mount has been snapped into place, you can reinstall the other parts and place the rack back into your dishwasher.

This black rubber gasket is a genuine OEM replacement part for your dishwasher door. The gasket helps to provide a tight seal between the door and the tub, preventing water from leaking while the appliance is in use. Over time gaskets can become stretched out or brittle, and it should be replaced before a major leak happens. This kit also comes with a new latch strike plate for the door latch, which provides tension to ensure a tight seal.
