This heating element mounting nut is used in dishwashers and is used to hold the nut to prevent leaking. If your nut is damaged or you notice leaking from the dishwasher, then replacing this nut will solve this problem. The tools needed for this repair are a 1/2 inch wrench, 1/4 inch nut driver, and needle nose pliers. To repair, locate the two element heating nuts. Next, disconnect connecter wire and remove nut with wrench. Tip: when installing new nut, remember to add insulator sleeve back on. As a safety precaution, remember to disconnect the water supply line before beginning this installation. Also, unplug your dishwasher from the power source.

This authentic OEM kit includes the door handle and latch for your dishwasher. The latch is used to the keep the door secured while the appliance is operating, and will not allow the dishwasher to run if the door is opened. Regular wear and tear can result in the assembly becoming damaged, but you can prolong the life of the part by being gentle when opening and closing the dishwasher door. A Torx screwdriver is necessary for this repair, and you will need to access the inner panel and disconnect and reconnect the wire harnesses to the latch. Be sure to disconnect the power supply to the dishwasher before beginning this repair.

Dishwasher wouldn't open, handle broke
We followed the instructions we found here. Seemed simple enough. Unscrewed the inside of the door and pulled out the handle/latch. The switches plug into the assembly and the old ones were EXTREMELY hard to unplug. Required pliers and a LOT of straining. Once we got those off, the rest was simple. Plug the new assembly in, set it back into the door and replace the screws. Viola! Just be careful that you don't mess up the "padding" type material that sits inside the door panel. If it gets folded, or bunched up the panel won't sit quite right for the screws to go back in. Read more...

This is a genuine OEM replacement silverware basket for your dishwasher. It is gray in color and comes as an assembly with a hinged cover and a handle. The basket sits in the front of the bottom rack of your dishwasher or it can be separated into two separate pieces that sit along the side. If your silverware basket becomes damaged, it can result in cutlery falling through into the bottom of the dishwasher. Replacing this part is extremely easy, just remove the old basket and put the new one in its place. To avoid damaging the new basket, be sure to carefully place utensils inside instead of dropping them.

The rollers on the lower rack in your dishwasher allow the rack to smoothly roll in and out of the appliance. If a roller wheel has become damaged or broken off, it should be replaced so that the rack can continue to glide easily. This genuine OEM part is made of white plastic and includes both the wheel and axel as an assembly, and they are sold as individual units. The rollers in your dishwasher tend to wear at the same rate, so we do recommend replacing all wheels on your lower dish rack at the same time. No tools should be required to do this repair, the old wheel pops off the rack and the new wheel snaps into place.

This door gasket can be installed by simply pressing it into the channel around the door. This dishwasher door gasket, or door seal, allows the dishwasher door to have an airtight seal when closing the door. No tools are required for this installation, simply remove the existing gasket and press the replacement gasket into the channel around the door. It is recommended to clean the channel while the gasket is removed. This part may need to be replaced if the existing one is cracked, broken, or hardened, possibly causing water to leak through the door while it is running. This part is sold individually, and is sourced from the original manufacturer.

Dishwasher door would not close
We came to this site and found the problem and the potential solutions. We knew the latch part inside the dishwasher was intact, so we figured the latch component inside the door had gone bad. We ordered the part, it came pretty quickly. We watched the Youtube video where it shows how to replace the latch- figured what the heck- and went for it (although my husband was VERY skeptical). We shut off the breaker to the dishwasher, removed the inside door screws with the torx screwdriver, making sure we knew where they went back in- since 2 of them were longer than the others due to the door configuration. we then opened the door panel and there was the latch, which was held in place by the screws we had removed. pulling out the latch, we took off the wiring harness pieces - took a bit of muscle/ pliers to wiggle them off. The one confusing thing that almost stopped our repair was the guy in the video said to "close" the latch with a screwdriver - so we did- then we find out you only do that if you have a handle...it causes the same problem (door won't close) that we were having in the first place. Then we were having a hard time opening the latch back up - and my husband was afraid to break it - so DON'T flip that thing closed it if you don't have a handle. with some persistence and gentle pressure I opened it back up and we were able to put it in place, close the door panel back up - make sure you line up the screw holes in the panel and the door latch so the screws hold it in place...replaced all the screws...and darn if the thing didn't work just like new. My husband was beyond impressed that we were able to fix it with the cost of the part and the very excellent guidance on this website. Thank you- you have a very happy loyal customer!!! Read more...

noticed water was leaking in front of washer-right before we were leaving for vacation
Upon returning from vacation, we needed to do laundry-so I put some plastic under the washer and we did a load. The water was leaking from the seam between the lid and the back panel on the side with the hot and cold water connections- not the front. I removed two screws from the front bottom panel and two screws from the underside of the lid.Turning the washer on showed the leak was coming from the injection valve( it was brittle from age). The rubber injection valve was replaced and installed( using a little liquid soap to help the rubber hose to slip over the rubber injection valve) with a new clamp. The leak was fixed. Read more...
