Needed to replace a faulty burner switch
Removed the old switch by unplugging the electric connectors to the switch, removed the palnut, and took the old switch out. Placed the new switch in, reconnected the electric connectors. Mounted the new bracket, trimmed the shaft to fit, tightened the new palnut, selected the new dial adapter that was suitable, put the old dial back on, and it was done! Very easy. Anyone can do it. Bad plug in socket. I purchased a new heating element and infinite control switch but will use as a backup as it was not necessary.
Turned off power at the curcuit breaker. Verified power off. Lifted cooktop out of countertop opening. Removed 10 screws holding the cooktop to the pan. Disconnected the wire at the infinite control switch. Remove small phillips screw holding the surface plug in block to the burner opening. Spliced the connectors to the new plug in block. Twisted the wires together and applied wire nut included in the kit. Placed shrink wrap sleeve over wire nut and heated with hair dryer to shrink the sleeve. Reversed the disassembly . Turn power back on and tested good. Read more...

This genuine OEM kit includes the parts required to replace a surface burner receptable on your range. The kit comes with a plastic block, a metal bracket, high temperature wire nuts, and wires. The burner elements on the cooktop plug into the receptacle, and if the burner is not heating up properly, the receptacle may need to be replaced. Other signs that the receptacle is faulty is if there is corrosion on the element terminals. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range. You will need a pair of wire strippers and a Phillips screwdriver for this installation.

This chrome drip bowl is an OEM approved replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. Drip bowls are a part for your cooktop, positioned underneath the burner to catch spills. This drip bowl fits under 8-inch burner elements and has a diameter of approximately 10-inches. It is common for the manufacturer to switch up designs, so it may not match your current part, however searching using the correct model number will ensure proper fit and function. Drips bowls are prone to wear and tear and can be a fire hazard if not replaced when needed. It is also a quick, easy, and cheap way to give your appliance a fresh new look. Each drip bowl is sold individually, so if you are interested in replacing your other drips bowls, they need to be ordered separately. This is also an opportune time to inspect the terminals for corrosion or damage, and the condition of the burner. No tools are required for installation, simply line up the hole on the bowl with the terminal block and drop it into place. Give your new drip bowl a regular cleaning with warm water and soap to help it last as long as possible.
