Bad plug in socket. I purchased a new heating element and infinite control switch but will use as a backup as it was not necessary.
Turned off power at the curcuit breaker. Verified power off. Lifted cooktop out of countertop opening. Removed 10 screws holding the cooktop to the pan. Disconnected the wire at the infinite control switch. Remove small phillips screw holding the surface plug in block to the burner opening. Spliced the connectors to the new plug in block. Twisted the wires together and applied wire nut included in the kit. Placed shrink wrap sleeve over wire nut and heated with hair dryer to shrink the sleeve. Reversed the disassembly . Turn power back on and tested good.

Shiny finish pitted and rusted
Inserted new parts. Caution required when taking out and replacing chrome rings around burners. Sharp edges.

The metal strips holding the Jenn-Air burner together came apart
A new Jenn-Air burner was delivered and replaced the old one. The large size matching the model numbers was plugged in and works perfectly.

one eye was not working on my stove
I had one eye not working and the element was broken. I called customer service person was able to guide me to the parts I needed. I was able to follow the instructions that cams with the parts and I was able to repair my stove to as good as new.
