Replaced broken START knob on dryer.
Slid off the old START knob, then pushed on the new START knob.
I created and printed a label on my computer for use with the time selector dial, which must be set at or beyond 10 minutes, before turning the START knob.
I made a label that says "Minimum" with a red arrow that points past the 10 minute setting on the time selector dial.
My teenage daughter was not setting the time selector dial, to a point past 10 minutes. When she turned the START knob, the dryer would not come on, because the time selector dial was not set past the 10 minute setting.
My daughter had continually twisted the START knob until it broke. I am hoping she will be able to see the large printed label I put on the dryer near the time selector, saying "Minimum" with a large red arrow pointing past 10 minutes.
I am very pleased that I was quickly able to find the exact matching START knob for my dryer and the exact same color, from PartSelect.Com

Timer knob had broken
First off, the repair part arrived in only two days. The schematic was very detailed and accurate on your web site. Once the part arrived and removed from the bag, it was a snap to install with just a needle nosed pliers. Total time was less than 5 minutes. This was the first time I had used PartSelect and you can bet I'll be back. Thanks again. Gary K. in IN.

The selecter knob broke off.
I simply ordered the new part from Parts Select.com. It arrived quickly. I opened the package and easily pushed the knob onto the selecter. Opening the package was harder to do than the actual repair.

The Knob Broke Off. We Glued It On But It Still Didnt Work Right. We Still Had To Manually Turn The Dial. When I Saw This Site It Showed A Diagram And I Figured Out What Was Wrong.
Just took the dail off and put the knob on and slid the clip on. It was harder to take the glue off that we put on the knob!!

Broke the knob off my mother-in-law's washer
It was really easy. I removed the broken part of the knob from the metal center knob assembly. Cleaned out the "teeth" of the inner knob assembly to remove any debris from the plastic part that broke. I made sure that the metal center knob assembly was pulled out all the way (using the pliers). I inserted the new knob making sure that the knob lined up with the arrow on the dial. Then turned it slightly to ensure that the "teeth" fit together properly. While holding the handle in place, I used the pliers to slide the clip into the slot to keep the knob in place. Once it clicked into place... I was DONE!

Started leaking from boot edge
Popped the top by pushing in front clips with screwdrivers. Removed spin shield. Removed agitator and hub cover (all by hand). Used 12pt. socket to remove three bolts holding the tub. Pulled up tub (difficult b/c of weight and slippery residue). Loosened clamps w/ nutdriver and removed boot. Scrubbed clamps clean and reinstalled everything.
Forgot to get clamps really snug, so it dripped a little. Did everything second time, but before replacing tub, did a leak check by running a load. Worked great. Good luck.

Timer knob actuator teeth broke (behind knob)
Replaced the knob. Identified the appropriate knob which was easy because of the drawings on your site (PS271124 Timer Knob with Clip). Ordered knob, arrived the next day. Slipped the knob on the washing maching controller. Perfect.....took 2-seconds.

The dial broke off due to husband overloading the washer. Agitator came off it's spindle which caused the dial to snap
Took back panel off dial section and luckly slide dial mechanism back onto it's bracket and tightened it down. Closed panel section back up. Clipped new dial part on front panel and it worked!

Broken Start knob
After finding a matching knob for the broken one on my dryer, I ordered it from this website and within days had my dryer working like new again. Just slipped it on and that was it. No more using pliers to start the dryer. Couldn't have been easier.
