WET4124HW0 Whirlpool Washer Dryer Combo - Instructions

I removed the back of the dryer, removed the single screw holding the fuse in place and checked it for continuity. It didn't work, so I placed an order and 3 days later I was back in business. the replacement took about five minutes.

this was a super easy job! i unplugged the dryer, removed the back panel, located the fuse on the bottom left side, replaced it, put the panel back on, plugged it back in and IT WORKED! this was the first appliance repair job for me and i am so glad i found this site. it probably saved me $100.00 or so doing it myself. thank you!!!

lifted top section of dryer
removed front dryer panel
removed drum belt and tensioner
removed both drum rollers
cleaned both roller axles
installed new rollers
reassembled remainder of dryer
if you are at all mechanically inclined, it is a simple job

I watched the video several times before beginning, which was very helpful. As I didn't have the tool that was recommended in the video, I used pliers, which although took longer, worked out fine. I also used pliers to pull the wires off of the old thermal fuse. My dryer had been not working for 2 months, so I was very pleased that I was able to watch a very detailed video, order the parts on the same website, and receive them very quickly (within couple of days.) My daughter who lives in another state googled my dryer model number with a description of the problem and found your website. She sent me the link of the video to watch as it appeared very easy to understand. She and I both were very impressed by the step-by-step instructions on the video, including a list of all the tools required. Checked on your website for common problems w/this model dryer,highest probability was the thermal fuse being blown,so I ordered one & checked the vent for being plugged,no problem there,removed the back of the dryer replaced the fuse(very easy to do)put everything back together & started it up...all set now.Thanks for your help

My wife and I thought our dryer was done and we were looking at a large replacement costs. We started googling and found this site and watched the video. We are were 99% sure it was the thermal fuse. We received within 2 days and thought we would be in there for over an hour. Turned it was less than 10 minutes, we watched the video clip on how to install on our laptop as we did it.

Longest time needed was to determine what cause was. After that ordering part from PartSelect was very easy and saved me money. Part arrived before time given, part was correct and installed without problems.

Removed the drum then removed the old parts and installed the new ones. Dryer now runs very quite and heats good. You have very fast service my mother ordered the parts on the net one day and I received the parts next day and did the repair that night and dried clothes. Thanks,

After removing front door panel (2 screws) I removed the old latch catch and replace with the new part. 4 minutes later, the door was back together, the dryer was running and the door was staying closed.

An online help site lead me to believe the problem was the gas igniter. After ordering that and installing it I discovered that wasn't the problem. I took a look at the schematic which is in the electrical compartment and found that there is more than one thermal breaker. I found the other one, ordered and installed the part and had it running within 30 minutes. I had to access the back of the unit, remove the back cover with a socket wrench, unscrew the thermal breaker and re-install the new one with no special tools.

I replaced the male end first hoping that a change in the female part would not be needed. Unfortunately no. I used needle nosed pliers to pry the male part out and pushed the new part in. The female part of the door catch was more difficult. I didn't do it in "textbook" form, but got the job done with pliers and a screwdriver. Worth every penny to fix correctly instead of rigging it. Do it!

Took back panel off dryer, unscrewed old part, put on new one. Easy fix. Dryer works great again.

How I did the repair is of little importance. What is important and impressive is the level of service your company provides. I studied the wiring diagram on the back of the dryer. I diagnosed a bad thermal fuse (no continuity). Found the part online at Part Select. The part came a few days later and I was back in business. Great Service.

The only thing I had to do was hammer the catch inside the square fitting and presto it was done. It took me less than 3 mins. I thought I might of needed instructions, but it was really simple. Even a guy can do it. (smile)
