The bake element sparked then burned up
This is the second time I have replaced the bake element. It looks like 8 years is about as long as they last under normal use. The repair was simple; remove 2 screws, pull the bake element out, disconnect the wire connected to each end of the bake element, then reverse the process to reinstall.

The old element toasted. Burned-up completely.
I shut the breaker off at the main power box.
In the oven, I loosened two screws to remove the old element (parts now, after the burn-out). I pulled the old element out of the back wall of the oven to expose the wire connections. I detached the simple sliding wire connectors. Done with removal. I waited for the new element to arrive (one week). Installed easily. Turned on the breaker and baked a few potatoes. Very simple.

element burned up
I am a 62 year old woman. All I had to do was unscrew the retaining screws on the back of the oven wall, pull the element out and unplug it. When the new one came, I did it in reverse. It took about five minutes. Ps: I did turn the breaker off first....

baking element quit heating
first I took the opportunity to clean the oven really well, Turned off the electricity at the breaker box, Took out the screw on each side and pulled out to view the clips they were attached to, they came off easily, I attached the new ones pushed in to place and reattached the 2 screws. Easiest thing I've ever done and was so cost effective to do this instead of replacing the stove. Works great!I can't believe it was shipped so quickly. I will be shopping here in the future!!!

Element burned out
Called Sears, repairman couldn't come for a week and would cost $129 for visit not including parts. Went to Sears repair store, part cost more than the part I had already found online and would take a week to arrive. Ordered the part online, paid for next day delivery, watched a video on how to replace. Had my oven back in two days and $59!!!

The lower oven element burnt out.
After removing the old broken element, I searched the internet for the part by brand and model number. With very little trouble, I located the correct part, ordered it and waited for the notice of shipment. In 5 days, and that included Memorial weekend we had the part and in 5 minutes the part was installed. The cost was $31.20 plus shipping..not bad!

The oven did not heat up. I noticed the element was cracked.
I watched the video provided by Part Select before I ordered the part. I removed the old element by taking out two screws and unplugging it from the wires. I put the new element in place, connected the wire to the right side and then opened up the back of the range to connect the left side. The repair was easy, but the video did not show that you had to connect the left side from the rear of the appliance. It was easy to figure out. The appliance works like a charm...no like an oven.
