watched a video that showed how to repair that you had on your web site. also read some of the remarks that other people left on site, one was super easy. just laid washer on its back, unhooked both water lines from pump. unhooked both metal clips holding pump and pulled off. replaced new pump in reverse order. didn't have to go thru all the procedures of taking off the body or nothing. 15min job.

tilted the unit on it's back. removed clamps and hoses from pump. used screwdriver and pried off 2 hold-down clamps. removed old pump. placed new pump onto shaft. installed hold -down straps. re-installed 2 hoses. stood washer upright, releveled and turned on.

Tilted washer back, pump was right in the front on bottom. Removed two spring clips, pump pulls off. Removed two spring clamps and hoses. Reconnected hoses and spring clamps to new pump, put pump back on, put clips back on, dropped washer, put washer back in place. Done. 10 Minutes, max. My twelve year old son could have done it. Part was less than fifty bucks, and service companies want an additional 150 bucks to do the job. Thanks, PartSelect!!

It was a simple & quick repair. pulled the washer forward leaving everything connected except for the electric.. simply unplug it. then tipped the washer backwards. with a droplight & a screwdriver and a pair of pliers replaced the old pump by taking off the metal clamps that were bracing the pump plus the clamps for the hose. also is a good idea to have a pan for the extra water that will drain from the old pump.remove & then put on the new pump & add the clamps you removed. it only took about 15 mins & was alot cheaper than to go buy a new washer. everything works great.

Took two hosses off with pliers and snaped the clips off then pulled pump off of shaft . replaced with new pump. VERY EASY. Thanks Brian

First I located the leak and removed what was lated identified as the water pump. The pump was secured to a motor by two clamps. Attachted to the water pump were two water hoses. I removed the water pump, took it inside my and started my search for the part on the web. I located your site, followed the site instructions and found the part I needed. For the record, I have never attempted to repair anything in my life. Your site help me save over $300.

I did my troubleshooting on line. I took the water pump off, flushed it out, and used a coat hanger to ensure the hoses were not obstructed. Put the water pump back on and reassembled the washer - still would not drain. Checked the lid switch by listening to hear it click, which it did. So, I assumed it was the water pump, so ordered one. Two days later my son-in-law said he experienced the same problem, but it was the lid switch. I decided to check the switch again, this time using my hand to see if it was securely fastened. As soon as I grabed the switch, it sprung apart. I removed it and followed the instructions on how to hot wire the connection for a by pass, and the washer drained. Needless to say I ordered a lid switch assembly. Now I have a new water pump as a backup :) Lesson learned. Opinion: the lid switch assembly is very cheaply made.

Removed the two clips holding the pump to the motor, Lift pump off motor and twist pump to allow easy access to hose clamps. Slide clamps off of pump housing, remove hoses and reverse the process just described.

It was really simple. All I had to do was take the outside body off of the washer & undo the clamps & take the old water pump off & put the new one on & put the clamps back on & put the body back on. It was easy & a whole lot cheaper than buying a new washer. Thanks for being there.

As noted by other users, I tipped the washer on its back to access the water pump underneath. First I had to drain several gallons of water out...I removed the end of the drainage hose from my main basement drain and placed it into a large bin on the floor and it drained itself. Then I removed the two spring clips from the old pump and took off the two hoses. The pump pulled free easily from the drive shaft. I put the new one on, reseated and reclipped the hoses to the pump, and put the washer upright and it worked immediately. Easy repair...saved hundreds on buying new washer.

Got the part in two days! After watching the installation video, i figured i could take the pump off without removing the complete washer panel. Tipped washer on to back and there was the old pump staring at me. Disconnected the two hose clamps with pliers (easy). Hardest part was removing old pump due to crud and rust. Removed pump clamps and forced it off with end of screwdriver alternating both sides. This is why the video shows panel removal. Would have been much easier i think! I used fine sandpaper to get the shaft cleaned up and put a few drops of liquid hand soap into opening of new pump. Lined up the pumped with shaft and it slid right on. Reattached hoses and pump clamps and done!! NO more leak!! Really easy repair - about 15 minutes total.

Tipped washer for access to pump. Disconnect hoses. Snap spring clips off of pump. Remove pump from motor shaft. Scotch-Brite shaft, push new pump onto shaft. Reconnect hoses. And your done

As a 50+ currently umemployed woman would always pass repairs off to her husband, this was a great repair to grow my confidence. I did refer to the web site that offered insights which helped greatly. Once I got the cover off and the hoses detached I was stuck with getting the actual pump off the motor. I read on line that if it's older you'll have to use some muscle (guess I should be working out more!) to pull it off. It was incredibly stuck and my word of advice to others is make such that the motor rod, that the pump "slips" onto is CLEAN and smooth. I thought I had it clean enough only to get the new pump stuck while only half way on!!!! Spend the time to get all the rust off and the new piece will slip on with a some pushing and prodding!
