bottom door handle broke
After learning the top and bottom part separate from the handle itself, all I needed to do was to take off the bottom part which was broken and replace the broken part with the new part , that was in a kit, I purchase from Whirlpool.

Recent move and movers broke the light switch on refrigerator side.
Unplugged the refrigerator then removed two vertical screws on the very back back of the control panel (the ones with the washers). Do not remove the four other vertical screws in the panel. The front plastic plate on control panel snaps off and there are two horizontal screws under the plate. Remove them and the control panel will drop down allowing access to the light switch. Unplug the two wires (one black and one white) from the old switch. Discard the old switch, snap the new one into place and reconnect the two wires. Snap the front plastic plate back into place, plug in the refrigerator and you are done! Problem solved with a new $16.00 switch and saved at least $75.00 or more from an appliance repair call. One of the brackets kept falling off the ref. door shelf.
This was a very simple repair once I had the right part. And the thing that made ordering from you so easy was that you had all the diagrams online! This not only made the repair easier once the part arrived, but it helped me to be sure I was ordering the correct part in the first place. Refrigerator collected water an ice in refrigerator and freezer.
Removed items and defrosted freezer. I then removed metal shelves, ice maker, bottom sliding tray and false bottom, freezer back, and light bulb with wire track. Cut wires to defrost thermostat and spliced in new thermostat. Reassembled shelves, back, etc., in reverse order. Old thermostat tested "open" in hot and cold water with Ohm meter tester.

door shelf endcap broke

End caps broke leaving shelf unusable
Snapped in new end caps and attahed existing shelf bar. Have done this twice. We tend to stuff too many items on that bottom shelf.

ice maker water fill tube cracked
hardest part was pulling out the refrigerator. it took about five minutes. parts fit perfectly. only thing to look for is some excess flashing on the end of the tube. easily removed with a pocket knife. simple repair.

The renters' broke the plastic end caps and bent the metal retainer bar.
Cover the entire metal retainer bar in painter's tape (the blue one) and use a 20-22" hacksaw to cut it to the correct length, going very slowly in your sawing.

icemaker not working

The side hinge plate broke and needed replacing
It was an easy repair. The side hinge plate had two fasteners on it. One which was hooked shaped and the other was pointed. I took the plate and installed the hooked shaped fastener first into the rectangular cutout and then pushed the plate with the pointed fastener into the circle cutout. Checked to see if the plate was fastened and once it was the repair was done.

Broken Kickplate Grille
My wife removed the broken Grille and replaced it with new Grille without using any tools. She was aware of how to remove and replace the grille as she has done it over the years when cleaning under the refrigerator.
