The video on the site was very helpful. The repair was really easy. It was exactly the way the video showed how to do it. I would definitely use this site again to find parts, figure out the "how-to", and use for skematics of appliances. Thanks.

REplaced old icemaker with a new one. Install simple, However that was not the problem. I then replaced the water valve. Still no ice. I check the electric connection was OK. THe problem was the elbow fitting on the top back of the refrigerater leading to the icemaker was blocked with ice.Cleared it and turned water faucet up all the way. Ice maker worked.

Watched video on website then removed old ice maker. New one went in without any problems. Working great. I am a 60 year old woman and had never done anything like this but so easy. Husband scared now, doesn't know what project I will take on next.

ice cubes maker worked intermittently
turn off water. turn off electricity. empty freezer section of frozen food. remove ice bucket. loosen two screws holding IM to wall of refrigerator. lift off icemaker, and then unplug it as you remove it. INSTALL new IM by: putting new water funnel onto new IM. attaching adapter cord to IM. plug in IM electrical cord to refrigerator and then hang the new IM onto the two loosened screws on the refrig wall. Now tighten the two screws. the extra adapter electrical cord hangs below the new IM, but does not get in the way when you reinstall old ice bucket. reload food, turn on elec and water. PS. i had a crack in the casing of the new IM, so i got a new one, but that one was cracked too. so i just installed the second cracked one. hope it is not a problem.

Fridge Leaking Water
Unplugged fridge. Removed the screws holding the rear cover plate to the back of the fridge. Removed cover plate. Removed waterline in from assembly. Removed screw securing assembly to fridge. Pushed in the retainers holding the water line and removed the four waterlines. Inserted the waterlines in to the new assembly. And tthen reveresed the process to reinstall the new assembly. I have used PartSelect to replace several items on my fridge. I only wish the fridge was as reliable as PartSelect is, so I didn't have to use them as often.

Water dispenser stopped working (ice maker still worked)
pull out the fridge from the wall, be careful not to kink the water line. Shut off the water, remove the 6 screws that attach the metal panel to the bottom of the fridge. Remove the water line from the water valve using a wrench, unplug the fridge from the wall, then remove the 2 electrical connectors that attach to the water valve (be sure to mark or mental note which one is which), then remove the plastic outboud water supply line (the one that supplies the fridge) by grabbing with your hand and wiggling out. On my fridge the water line was orange, it's just a plastic clip that automatically seals the line in the valve but you can remove it by firmly grabbing, twist and pull (don't use pliars or you might damage the water line). Remove the value from the fridge by removing the screw that attaches it to the fridge. Install the new valve by following the reverse order.

Before you put the back panel back on the fridge, I highly recommend you vaccuum as much link and junk as you can, all that mess causes loss of air flow, which causes escessive heat and will shorten the life of your compressor and other parts.

10 minutes max, and a heck of a lot cheaper than a rip off repair man that will do it about 50% correctly becasue they don't give a rip if the repair lasts past their getting out the door with your money.

Water valve and bracket assembly leaks
1. I shut off the water source valve.
2. Take off the four tubes. Disconnect four electrical wire connectors. Separate the inlet copper tube from the assembly. Then the old assembly can be isolated out.
3. Reverse the procedure to install the new assembly.
4. Turn on the water source valve
5. My problem is every function seems worrking except there is no water flowing out. I am thinking it could be caused by the clogging of tube inside the refrigerator. I can hear the pump working and try to pump the water, but there is just no water out.
6. Please help if anyone experiences the same situation. Thank you!

Water stopped running
Pulled the refrigirator out and removed the screws holding the cardboard cover in place. DISCONNECTED POWER. Then I removed the single screw holding in place the pumps assembly and pulled it out.
The incoming pump was not working in my case (this is the second time in 3 years it breaks down).
The incoming water hose can be easily disconnected as it screws in. However the hose leaving from the bottom of the pump needs a special technique and some force (squeeze and pull hard). It might be easier to use scissors to cut it altogether and be sure the hose is not damaged.
To reconnect it just push the hose deep into the pump, really easy. The just put the assembly back together, backover and all done.

Water was leaking at valve, luckily it was only a mist, but still leaked through to basement before I noticed it.
Removed back panel using 1/4 inch nut driver. Shut off water and removed water supply line with a 1/2 inch open end wrench Then removed water supply line to ice maker & water @ door. This requires no tools, just push down on orange fitting & pull out tubing. Remove bracket and water valve assembly and install new one.
