GLVC25V7FB2 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Ordered new ribbon cable. At first I couldn't figure out how to get the wide end of the ribbon cable off, and I took the whole inner circuit board out - in fact, all it needed was more muscle, a straight pull out, no clips or anything holding it in other than friction. The narrow end attached to the control button board has two clips which pull towards you to loosen the ribbon. Easy install, worked perfectly

Had to disassemble the entire ice maker bucket. Simple and straightforward, didn't need any pictures or reference materials. Just time consuming.

I watched the video on how to change the defrost thermostat. I removed the back cover inside the freezer then I pulled off the old defrost thermostat and then using a pair of wire cutters I cut it off and then bared a little of both of the wires and then slid the heat sherink and wire connectors on the existing wires and then slid the other ends of the wires into the wire connectors then crimped the ends of the connectors and then tried using heat on the heat shrinks but still used rubber electric tape over it. I clipped the new thermostat were the old one was and then reattached the freezer wall cover and plugged the refrigerator back in. 24 hours later I checked the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer and both are running a lot colder.

I started look inside ,disconnected power, and open all possible compartments to see any burned part. Fortunately I fined a small part look like melted and then i went online and make my research .Then i ordered that part and change it.

The repair itself total time was quick and easy. Since the original fan blade blew apart, it was only a matter of putting the new one on in it's place. This can be done by feeding the blade between the cowling and Condenser coil and applying pressure to get it on the shaft.

If your fan is still on the shaft, simply push it off and extract it the same way. Then place the new one on the shaft.

In my case, since the part would take a couple days to get, and I had food both in the fridge and the freezer, I removed and unplugged the Condenser Fan Motor and the cowling frame and temporarily spliced a small fan I had into the line for the condenser motor. This kept the fridge working long enough to get the replacement part.

Side note. Direction of airflow is towards the Compressor, and draws air across the Condenser coils.

No repair needed just replace shelf and drawer

I was 3 months overdue to change the filter and it stopped working. I ordered the part put it in reset the light and let the water run until the pressure was consistent and the water was running clear. So easy to do. Lesson learned replace the filter when you are supposed to!

The part i recieved, from parts select was a larger in circumfrence (<1/4) than the original. However i was not aware of this until after i treid to repair it.

I removed the broken fan from the condenser. This was very sipmle.

When i pluged the refridgerator back in to the outlet the fan tried to start up but soon began to make aloud noise, due to there not being enough clerance.

repaced ice/water filtration (by pass ) hopeing it would fix problem . was not sucessful !

This site sent me an installation video along with my shipping confirmation details, by email. It was very simple to do after viewing the video.

I removed the door (2 minutes) by removing the door hinge cover (one cross-tip screw) and then loosened the tuo hinge mounting bolts. I then removed the broken bearing hinge and plate (3 minutes) from the bottom of the door and installed the bearing and plate, and then re-installed the door (2 minutes). My four-year-old helped me.

replaced the lower cam on door. removed upper hinge lifted off door and pulled out old cam and replaced it.

Incorrectly! There are two sizes of door bins and they are not interchangeable. I ordered the wrong one, only to discover that door bin was also cracked. I now have two new door bins. All's well that ends well...they are really easy to instal, but if not the correct one, it will fall off!

This was a very easy fix. I first ordered the cam only and installed it. That was not the problem. I then ordered the hinge bearing and installed it. That was the problem. Both times I installed an item it took about 10 minutes. Watch the video and follow the instructions. My advice to you if you have a clicking of your door order both the cam and hinge bearing and replace both. The items are not expensive.
